Lovely family winery with totally engaged staff. We participated in a cooking lesson followed by a wonderful lunch featuring their beautiful Sauvignon and Tannat wines and traditional Uruguayan lunch.The owner Alexandra was our lovely host all day and communicated with our group in English, Spanish , Italian and even in French with my spouse. Highly recommended for a true Bodega experience.

We had two days in Montevideo. On day one, we explored the old town and markets and on day two, we cycled here for lunch and to visit the Montevideo sign at the eastern end of the beach.

Over the Paraná Guazu or "river as wide as the sea" in guaraní language, as the Rio de la Plata is locally known, the shore is a symbol of the quiet lifestile of the local "Montevideanos". It extends for 18 km from the "Ciudad Vieja" (old town of the colonial times) with a series of beaches till the fancy neighbourhood of "Carrasco". Getting a bike for a ride (on the sidewalk) is a must. Great for running or just for a relaxing walk as well. Good for all ages. Where to start? Ok, Pocitos beach is a good option, either going West (direction downtown) or East (direction Carrasco). Other recommended beach to try, Playa Verde, or Punta Gorda Point from you can have a nice view of the sunset and the city.

They should have better signals to get there, but if you can make it to take the elevator -the glass walls one, at the back of the building, but ask for directions at the main entrance, "informes" (information) desk. The terrace is big enough and proves you with an (almost) 360 vie rom the old town and port to the East of the city with most of the landmarks reachable from this panorama view.

There is no charge for entrance. We enjoyed our visit. Some of the items are reproductions but well worth the time to visit.
