Matheran is all about the views. Easily accessible via scenic rail from Mumbai, this refuge in the Sahyadri Hills is blissfully free of motor vehicles and affords nearly three dozen lookouts over the Western Ghats and the region's village-dotted plains. Porcupine Point is anything but prickly—rather, it’s an ideal spot for gorgeous sunsets, especially at the aptly named Panorama Point. Avid hikers hit the densely forested and wildlife-rich route to the ruins of Prabalgad Fort.

Took a horse to go to lousia point. Horseman was very vocal and was talking about place. He was very nice to take beautiful pic of us at the lions head point.. He was patient and allowed us to enjoy the beauty. View from here was breathtaking and we could see all past points we saw that day from this point. Worth visiting

We met a gentleman, Sujoy, there with a telescope who showed some key sight seeing points, for a nominal charge. He also offered star gazing services which we immediately accpeted as it would have been a personalised service. Had a great time.

this is one of the best point at matheran for site seeing, photography and enjoying rough wind flows, specially in monsoon u will see entire valley is in fog and just few minutes beautiful view of mountains and free falling water falls, enjoy the masala chai in there itself small dhabas and sit and relax.
