With an area of 50 hectares, the Centre de la nature is one of the most remarkable urban parks of the Greater Montreal area. The park offers a myriad of attractions, outdoor activities and cultural events throughout the year.
This is an excellent family outing. You can experience a taste of nature in a beautiful setting that will allow you to walk scenic paths, visit farm animals and also enjoy live symphony music at the large climate controlled greenhouse. Quite impressive, especially in the winter. The park has been the setting for numerous wedding photos over the years. Winter also allows you to skate on natural ice. Our family of four traveled up from Vermont for an overnight adventure! It was fabulous! I cannot say enough wonderful things about our instructor, Fred! As a scuba diving instructor and teacher, I recognize experience and expertise in working with students of all ages. Fred is phenomenal! He taught our family in English and a visiting family from France in French. He worked well with my husband and I, in our sixties, our children in their tweens, and another entire family with a seven year old. His people skills, control, and genuine desire to ensure everyone had fun, are a rare find! The location is modern, comfortable, and we'll run. I highly recommend it!

This is a huge mall with plenty of parking and loads of interesting shops. If you can't find something you like it probably means you are a picky shopper. Great food court with plenty of options.

We visited here a few weeks ago after a friend had recommended it. My 3 year old and 1 year old loved it, kept them entertained for hours and we didn't even get round everything. Really would recommend. No cafe on site at all so bring your own food but that was great for us as saved money on a packed lunch. Once you've paid you can come and go so can go out for lunch and come back. we went during week and was fairly quiet.

The Parc de la Rivière-des-Mille-Îles is the perfect place to enjoy the outdoors. This unique natural attraction is the most important preserved wildlife sanctuary in the Montreal region. What can be more exciting than observing animals in their natural habitat? Admire the flora of the park's many marshes, islands and banks, in a canoe, kayak, rabaska, pedal boat or row boat. Enjoy the scenery while hiking on the many trails of the park or take the Route bleue des voyageurs, a 155-kilometre navigable route divided into eight sections that runs from the Ottawa River region to Laval and end in the Lanaudière region.
This park is a unique natural attraction in Laval it is an important birds and wildlife Sanctuary. Some islands are to be saved and preserved for their biodiversity, and the Quebec government agrees. There is a new center that just opened unfortunately on our last visit it was not open yet but it was coming soon. The bike/walking trails takes you from the Berge des baigneurs behind the church and takes you to the summer eco nature center. There is an adult exercise area along the way. People of all age stroll in this nice surrounding. So this park is divided into two sections: Summer You can explore the river by renting kayaks and canoes from behind the new center west of Cure-Antoine Labelle boulevard. (in fact, you must explore the river to really appreciate this park) You rent per hour and they provide you with a map which presents where you can disembark your kayak or canoe and explore the islands. Even from the trails, you might see turtles, ducks, herons and more. The renting process is simple. I heard there is a cruise but you must reserve in advance. Winter The activities are in a park behind the church. When the temperature allows, an outdoor ice rink is open to the public. You can borrow skates and training equipment for the young ones. Sliding can be an option as well. Fishing cabin are also installed if temperature and ice conditions allows it. Ice Maze for young kids, fire pit makes this a fun winter day. In the winter the river gets frozen and you can reach some Islands on foot to discover birds and maybe see animal trails.
