DRIVE YOUR OWN TEAM of Alaskan Huskies. Let us show you the thrill of Mushing behind a team of eager Alaskan Huskies with our guide. First of all, Communication and Physical contact with dogs is very important. And FEEL THE EXCITEMENT as the team is hooked up, you are already a friend of them. You are given instruction on how to drive a dog sled. The team of dogs are enthusiastic and ready to go. Just tag along behind a guide’s snowmobile. You will take off at pace along trails through the field with a guide. Our trail is more than 10km long! Enjoy a long distance ride by dog sled with a team of huskies along our scenic 12km backcountry trail. We make every effort to construct a trail with varied scene: across the ancient snowfields, among conifer trees, along the river. Original dog sled 2 guests ride on Two can enjoy the ride with our original two seater sled. It is suitable for two adults with one lap small child.
What a great experience ????!!! Thanks to Takeshi, his wife and their daughter, they made our sledge dog experience unforgettable. He took the time to explain his kennel and we spend quality time with the dogs and new born puppies????. Riding your own sledge is once in a lifetime adventure, that I will recommend it anyone. Takeshi is taking pictures and video with his camera and give them to you on your mobile or sd card. We hope to have the chance to go back and ride with the new dogs generation.????

Drawn to this from some of the guide book reviews. We are not big horse racing fans or even regular betters but this was a brilliant event to visit. We even broke our journey Sapporo to Kushiro just to come here for a couple of hours and weren't disappointed. Make sure you check online first for the event timetable (racing is limited to weekends) and there's also a very helpful guide to ease you through the betting process - all quite straightforward. The racing itself is fascinating - my wife described it as horse drag racing in slow motion. There's quite a bit of pausing as the horses need a break between the hump sections of the track and the riders have to make sure they stay in lane. Even watching the small train system to get the sleds back to the start line was interesting. If you're passing Obihiro at the weekend I would suggest this is a must see stopover - you will never see anything quite like it anywhere else!
