Expanded 50,000 sq. ft. building opened in July 2012 with a world-class exhibit "Alphonse Mucha: Inspirations of Art Nouveau" featuring 230 pieces direct from Prague and London. Two other galleries feature rotating exhibitions on the culture, art and history of Czechs and Slovaks. And don't miss the two-room 1880's Czech immigrant house that was home to five generations. See the new museum store filled with European treasures and gifts. Stroll down Czech Village and also visit the exhibition, "Rising Above: the Store of a People and the Flood" located a 87 Sixteenth Ave. SW
This is a one-of-a-kind experience especially if you’re from this heritage. It was like reliving some of the great moments that I’ve heard my great grandparents talk about. They also have an awesome gift shop and the whole experience is totally worth it we loved every minute of it and highly recommend especially if you’re from Czechoslovakia heritage

A very environmentally conscious experience, from the solar arrays to the butterfly gardens, beehives, forest walks, and greenhouses, is the place to take kids and adults to understand their place in the world. Right now is a good time to see the power of the derecho storm from last August. The number of trees blown down by the creekside is astonishing. In another month the remaining trees will leaf out and cover the damage. A place worth visiting again and again.

Grant Wood's Cedar Rapids studio is the second floor of a late 19th century carriage house. The modest red brick and wood building sits next to a large, elegant mansion that once housed one of Cedar Rapids' most prominent families. It was in the Studio that Grant Wood painted one of his most famous works of art, American Gothic-a work that was shown at and purchased by the Art Institute of Chicago in 1930 for $300.

My 3 year old LOVES coming here. The equipment is newly updated, so everything is in great condition. There are lots of options for older kid, but they also have a safe toddler zone for kids 36" and under. Food is available for purchase, and they also have an arcade. We attended a birthday party recently here, and the party room and service for this were excellent. I highly recommend the Play Station!

This is our favorite place especially when the weather is bad. We all enjoy (kids and adults) here. They have great activities for all ages. Plus, they have a nursing room.

There is a nice walkway along the river, and sometimes there are activities happening. It smells better on the days the factory is making crunch berry cereal :-).

The kids & I took scooters from here, down along the river, over to the Art Museum, & back again in about 2 hours (stopping a lot for pictures of unique sites). We loved seeing such new & modern buildings popping up in this part of town.
