Cherry Hill Gate is a hidden Gem! The trail is walking through a forest of lush greenery, stopping along the way to feed birds from the palm of your hand. What a Treat! Parking costs 1 to 3 dollars for the entire afternoon. The trail winds through the forest and opens into a sun filled marsh teeming with wildlife, ducks, fish, hawks, blue Jays, sparrows, chickadees, kingfishers.....I can go on and on, I am sure there were more species of bird and animals than I saw that day. I saw a muskrat further into the marsh.....the animals are unafraid as there is no threat from those who visit. You must stay on the boardwalk while there, but that's fine.....the wildlife is busy all around you. Great place to take the Kids!

I had a birthday party with two friends, it was a great location with a pizza place not so far away so if you're planning to lunch afterwards, it's not so far. The staff we're very patient, even with in-experienced escapees like us! The staff were very friendly, and when found out it was my birthday, gave me a heartfelt card with $10 off my next booking. I would've never thought that they would every do something so kind. I recommend this for all ages whatsoever!!!

The Burlington Waterfront Trail provides a wonderful experience for just about everyone. One may cycle, walk, jog or just hang out. The trail runs from the Hamilton Harbour Lift Bridge to the pier at the end of Brant Street. The main elements of the trail were made from a former railway line which ran from Toronto the the US. One of the main features along the way is Spencer Smith Park, home of the country's biggest ribfest as well as the annual Sound of Music festival. The park features a water park for kids as well as swings and a zip line. Spenser's restaurant is an upscale dining site with excellent meals and a grand view of Lake Ontario. Nearby, there are numerous restaurants along Lakeshore and Brant Streets. Parking is free along the beach boulevard on a first come, first served basis. The trail is also accessible by public transit. No matter the time of year, the trail is enjoyable and quite calming as the waves roll in.

Your tour through the Museum will introduce you to the life and times of three generations of the Ireland family, which the house has been restored to reflect. Built using fieldstone covered with a limestone-based mortar, this technique of parging allowed the house to remain in excellent condition even prior to restoration. Georgian styled with a central hall and stair plan, the house is symmetrical when viewed from the south facing front entrance. An addition to the original home occurred only ten years after construction, allowing an in-door privy, a summer kitchen and a thirty-five foot well. Sitting on nearly four acres the house is accompanied by two other original constructions: the Drive shed and Potting shed.
We just moved to Burlington and my children loved the workshops. we took them for Christmas break and they enjoined it very much
