The City Walls of Baku are in great condition considering that for most parts , they are alongside boutiques and restaurants without any special protection . We used the audio-guides available at the Tourist information office to get a good description of their origin and purposes .

Historians are not sure about the age and function of this tower-like structure. Was it part of city fortification? The tower is 28 m high and from the top is a nice view of the old city, new skyscrapers and the seashore boulevard. Inside is a museum with modern displays explaining the history of Baku. The entry is 15 AZN.

A very interesting archaeological site where you can see real drawings of the Stone Age, which are more than many thousands of years old. But start your visit with the museum! The museum impressed with both expositions and very interesting audio and video presentations.

The monument is right on the main road. A great stop for a picture. It's located in Artsakh and not in Azerbaijan

Perfect place for an evening walk some nice cafes around for refreshments. If you're travelling in winter, some warm gears are recommended to counter windy sea breeze.
