The word Australiana is somewhat overdone when it comes to tourist attractions, and that’s often well deserved. That’s also good because Leathersmith and Bush Gallery isn’t a tourist attraction, it’s a working Leathersmith. I bought a stockmen's belt from here 30 odd year ago and just went back to buy two more as the other one had worn out. The craftsmanship and the service is phenomenal in this day and age. You just want to stay in the store there was so much to see, outstanding.

Beerenberg Farm is a "must visit" for all food lovers visiting the Adelaide Hills. One of Australia's oldest family-owned jam, condiment and sauce producers, it is now run by the sixth generation of the Paech family on their Hahndorf farm. Open all year round, 7 days a week (except Christmas Day), the farm shop is open 9am to 5pm. Enjoy a leisurely browse through the complete collection of farm-made products in the delightful farm shop. During strawberry season (November to April), bring the family and pick your own strawberries from 9am to last field entry at 4.15pm. Patch entry is $5.00 per adult (13 years and under are free). Strawberries you pick are then weighed and are $10.95/kg.
We visted the farm on a beautiful morning not long after opening and was already getting busy. We had some great family time picking in the strawberry patch and filled a few tubs. They taste so sweet and fresh. The visitors shop is full of good things. The only thing we think that is missing is a cafe. Imagine being able to sit and have scones, strawberry jam and cream with a coffee or tea, i think this would be very popular and was something we thought would be there. Loved our visit.

A place where people and animals get together. See all your favourite Australian animals such as wombats, dingoes and Tasmanian devils. Feed the kangaroos and wallabies and cuddle a koala daily at 11.30am, 1.30 & 3.30pm
Spent a very pleasant four hours at this small wildlife centre. Very good value at $19 each plus another $10 for the ‘hold a koala’ experience. The holding session was well organised and the koala diligently posed with a number of visitors whilst concentrating on their eucalyptus leaves. Overall the centre appears to have approximately 50% of the wildlife roaming free whilst the majority of the caged animals and birds appeared to have enough space. Great variety of birds, animals and reptiles including native Australian species and others from overseas. The park is small enough to walk round in an hour but we found the more you looked the more you discovered. Only a short drive from Adelaide so easily fitted into a holiday schedule. Additionally worth a mention is the friendliness of the staff who mix in with visitors and were helpful throughout.

The day at the park was awesome. I enjoyed to walk through the huge enclosures of the different kangaroos and wallabies. To hand feed the kangaroos was a great experience, to be close to them and to sit down and look at the kangaroos. Fantastic was also the Koala "close-up" experience in the morning. To enjoy this you have to be there minimum a half an hour before they start because there is a limited number of people who can do it and if you like they take photos with your own camera. And, There are a few other Koalas on eucalyptus trees, if you don't like to wait in line I spent a long time next to my favourite animal the Wombats. I saw my first white wombat and he was moving around. That was a memorable event for me. I was so fascinated by the wildlife and walking around there are also echidnas, potoroos, emus, birds and much more. It is a great Park to see lots of Australian Wildlife.

What's big and beautiful and goes broom-broom? The National Motor Museum - located less than an hour from the centre of Adelaide, in the picturesque Adelaide Hills. The Museum features over 300 vehicles spanning over 100 years of Australian motoring history, from a steam carriage built in 1899 to modern hybrid cars. A diverse collection including motorcycles, cars, commercial vehicles, motoring curios and even a road train. The Museum is also home to the historic finish event of the famous Bay to Birdwood and holds the annual Rock & Roll Rendezvous every April with great live bands, stalls and hundreds of cars and motorbikes on show. There are lots of fun trails and interactives for families and visitors. The Museum can also cater to group bookings such as schools, car clubs, social groups and other events. It is the must see attraction in the Adelaide Hills.
This museum is amazing with the number of cars on display and the quality of what is on show is twice as amazing. The Holden concept cars which are featuring at the moment are a privilege to see and may never be seen altogether this way again. Definitely worth the visit, there will be a car there that everyone can appreciate.

Hahndorf Sweets is an 'old-fashioned' sweet shop located in the beautiful Adelaide Hills, in Hahndorf. Explore our little shop to find sweets from your childhood, gifts for your friends and have an experience to remember!
As a family with a sweet tooth, this place was a must for us! We have been here many times before and it never fails to amaze me. The variety, the quality and the friendliness really add to the atmosphere here. It didn’t take long for us to spend $50, but I was more than happy to hand over my cash for the sweet, sweet deliciousness that left the store with me. This place really does add to the ambience of Hahndorf. Well done!

Lovely environment to exercise in. Nothing nicer than walking, or riding, along one of the many designated tracks, listening to the sounds of nature and checking out the variety of water birds close by. The bbq facilities and grassed area also make it a great spot for families to enjoy. The area is well maitained and dogs are also welcome. Get back to nature!

The Stirling Market is a friendly and vibrant event, in a charming Adelaide Hills village. Highlights include local coffee roaster (Roasted On) as well as the Japanese Street Food (Kokochi). Some things to note: It’s the most popular market in the hills (by far) but parking is limited for Adelaide standards. However, you can park in the side streets easily and you won’t be more than a 5 minute walk away. It will get crowded between about 11am and 1pm. The best time to visit is at 10am before it is busy and while vendors still have stock. On very busy days many vendors will sell out early. There are actually two different markets. This review is for the “Stirling Market” which is on Druid Avenue. The other market is the “Stirling Laneways Market” which is in the many other parts of the village. They are both on the same day of the month which is the 4th Sunday of the month (remember this is not always the last Sunday of the month). The Laneways Market is not on during Winter when the weather can be cold and raining but the Stirling Market is on all year round. So if you want to see the Stirling Market on quieter days, then wait for a really wet day and head up there! The stall holders are about 80% the same each market and then about 20% different. It’s not a farmers market, so you won’t see lots of fruit and veg. There is fantastic food to eat at the market, and the food you would take home will be more like condiments, chocolate, coffee beans, granola and wine. It’s a fantastic place to get gifts, including handmade cards. There’s local wood carvings, custom shoes, paintings and other artwork and lots more. One of the best things about the market is the location. You can happily spend an hour at the market and then go to the local pub (The Stirling is good, but you could go a little bit down the road and go to The Crafers which is better). If it’s a nice you could to take a walk through the Mt Lofty Botanic Gardens (amazing in Spring and Autumn). On a cold day you could go across the road to Red Cacao for a hot chocolate. On a sunny day you could drive around the corner and have a drink and some cheese at Deviation Rd Winery. There’s also lots of great walking trails in the area, either in Cleland National Park, or the Belair National Park which is lesser known and so you’ll see hardly anyone there. So to wrap up, the Stirling Market is absolutely worth visiting, and if you pair it up with some other activities in the area you’ll have more than enough to fill out a day with fun activities.
