Facing the splendid gulf of Naples with its spectacular view of the sea we find the wine growing region and cellars of the De Angelis family. Raffaele De Angelis, in 1936, founded the family business continued by his family with the same passion and commitment which is respected throughout Naples. Overseen by Angelo Valentino is the production of the splendid and particular wines of piedirosso, aglianico, coda di volpe and falanghina. All wines produced by De Angelis family reflect their wisdom, knowledge and experience of cultivating grapes into a modern evolution of production BE SO KIND TO MAKE A RESERVATION ONE DAY BEFORE
We visited in late January having booked on line. The winery is unusual in that it is in the town centre, just behind the railway station, so is very convenient to walk to. Rafaella was friendly and welcoming and very informative about the history of the company and the reason for it's location, and the wine making process. It goes without saying that we enjoyed tasting the wines, in fact so much so we ordered several boxes of the Lachrima Christi del Vesuvio to be shipped home. They arrived just a week later. I am happy to report we are enjoying it just as much here in miserable weather in February in England as we did in Sunny Sorrento.

This lovely little building houses a rather excellent exhibition of photographs by RAFFAELE CELENTANO which is well worth a look. Also when I went in July 2019 there was an exhibition on SOPHIA LOREN. Great views from the balcony AND a swing - try it out!

A walk through a lemon grove. Taste and sale of typical Sorrento products and liqueurs: Limoncello, Oranges, Mandarin, Liquorice, Basil, Fennels, Nuts, Limoncello Babà and Marmalades.
Absolute must visit for anyone going to Sorrento, ice cream is amazing and the gardens are beautiful... and of course the limoncello is the best in Sorrento, organic and minimal ingredients... you can see the whole process with a tour round the small factory.
