These interactive sculptures are amazing, animals roaming around, education about our environment and so much fun. It’s a brilliant museum for kids, our (8&6) daughters loved exploring. You get to press lots of buttons which make many of the sculptures move, so clever and imaginative.

This is a nature park with a difference. A mix of more traditional zoo enclosures which are large, well thought out for the animals and beautifully maintained, together with large spaces where the animals can roam free amongst the visitors. There is plenty to see. The aerial walkway was an added bonus. It looks terrifying, but once you’re up it’s amazing and kids of all ages absolutely loved it. No picnics in the park, but plenty of space outside provided and a variety of good eateries are available at a reasonable price.

While we were in Vannes we couldn’t park at the Halles des Lices and being one-way the only way out was through the narrow Porte de Poterne and across the even narrower bridge to the main road. Wonderful. Not only was there cheap parking on the Rue Francis Decker but we were suddenly looking at the magnificent ramparts of the city and the ramparts gardens. The ramparts are immense and leave you a little in awe especially trying to visualise what they were like in their heyday. A fraction of the original is still intact and consist of a large section of the battlement walls, two magnificent towers, four arched entrances (portes) and the Chateau de l’Hermine. It is a must to walk the length of the walls and take in the views of the gardens and the town. They act a great viewing platform for photographs. Definitely recommended.

The Château de Suscinio, was one of the residensces of the Duke of Brittany, built between the thriteenth and the fifteenth centurie. Located on the Rhuys Peninsula, a priveleged site, close to the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Morbihan, the castle is surrounded by marshes where exceptional fauna and flora are to discover.
Myself and my wife spent about 1.5 hours here. Place looked like what you expect from a French Chateau and lots of displays that were informative in English as well as French
