First of all, I have to say the best time to go to the Maranjab Desert is Autumn because at night it is too cold. So I and my friends went there in October with the tour. it was a fantastic experience for me. we danced and gathered by the fire and sang. If you're reading this review I suggest you go there ASAP.

Designed for Shah Abbas I in the C16th, the gardens have centrally aligned pools with fountains on either side of the pavilion. The first pavilion, the Khooshk-e Safavi, is a 2-storeyed pool house (shotor gelou), and has a central pool from which run 3 channels into the garden. Beyond the Khooshk-e safavi is a second shotor gelou, the Khooshk-e Qajari, which has a stunning ceiling depicting scenes for Persian life, as well as beautiful geometric designs. On a raised step in front of the pavilion is a rectangular pool (hoz-e josh) with 160 holes which were once fountains that could be opened and closed to entertain the Shah and his guests. Sadly, these are blocked and no longer function. Beyond the pavilion is a refreshment area where we watched qanat fish.
