We attended the Ray Charles tribute. Even though we've been residents of Orange County for decades we've never been to an event at this theater. It was a wonderful experience. Great acoustics for music, an intimate setting and easy access.

With a bike trail right out the front door of Pedego Irvine, you can ride for miles and miles in several directions (including to the beach) without cars, traffic and streets. Tandem electric bikes, child bike seats/trailers and trail maps are available. Electric bike rental prices start at $16/hour, $60/day. Non-electric mountain bikes are also available to rent.

Irvine Spectrum Center is one of Southern California's most popular shopping, dining and entertainment lifestyle destinations. The center features Nordstrom and Target, along with more than 130 stores, restaurants and entertainment venues, including Improv Comedy Club and Edwards Irvine Spectrum 21 IMAX & RPX.
This place has it all! It is the most beautiful outdoor mall, with fountains, lights, greenery. Great shopping and plenty of restaurants are available. A large movie theater, outdoor screen, Ferris wheel, and other entertainment are located here. Our family especially loves coming here at night at Christmas time.

This is a largely unimproved area near the original Irvine Ranch Water District location Irvine that can be hard to find. On site is the Audubon Society, which has a small, informative exhibit on, you guessed it, local birds. This is an interesting stop for all ages. The reserve is a serene, long, loopy walk during which you may see many species of birds, both local and migrating. However, you may also see very few birds, as this is a natural preserve rather than a zoo. I find that just the walk is a quiet, soothing, lovely place to jar get away from the hustle and bustle of urban life. I kind hate to talk about it, because I’d like to keep it a well known local secret.

Giant Wheel keep on turning! Featuring an all new-LED interface with 52,000 energy-efficient LED lights, the Giant Wheel is capable of projecting a dazzling 16 million color schemes. Whether you're at the top looking out over Orange County, or in the courtyard below mesmerized by the lights, the view is spectacular. Open daily from 10am to 11pm.
Cost is $5. The ride only goes around 3x but the view is absolutely beautiful. Get to see Irvine from above and skyline.

Due to the C19 pandemic not many businesses are open - especially movie theaters. We drove all the way out here to see The Nightmare Before Christmas showing for only $5 per ticket - what a deal. The inside of the theatre is first rate, concession prices high, the seating awesome. They have beer on tap but this bar section was sadly closed. While watching the movie in comfortable seats the sound system was top of the line perfect.

Attended a Jason Bonham/Whitesnake/Foreigner concert and it was easy to take a free shuttle from the Courtyard Marriott to the amphitheater. About 8 mins to get there and 5 mins. walk from the drop-off point to venue. Lots of drink and food vendors, although not enough shaded areas and tables for dining. Staff was friendly and helpful. There were plenty of bathrooms. The fold up concert chairs were very comfortable as they had a thick cushion (orchestra area). I would definitely attend another concert at this venue. Apparently, the old Irvine venue is going to be used for apts./condos, so this is a temporary venue til a new one is built. Heads up, they don't allow Go-Pros nor cameras. August weather was not too hot nor humid, it was very nice for a summer evening. Give them a try!
