Baguio, perched high in the Cordillera Central Mountains, is a great place to escape the heat of the Philippine lowlands. Camp John Hay, originally built as a recreation area for U.S. soldiers, now is a full-fledged resort complete with a world-class golf course. Definitely stop at the city market, where you can buy almost anything (just be prepared to haggle).

The 'mother of all parks' in Baguio city, the summer capital of the Philippines, is a 32.84-hectare park designed by, and named after, American architect and urban planner Daniel Hudson Burnham, who also designed the original plan for Baguio City as well as Dewey Boulevard (now Roxas Boulevard) in Manila. The park has 12 main areas, the most popular of which are the Burnham Lagoon, a man-made lake with rowboats for hire; a children's playground; a skating rink; the Rose Garden and the Picnic Grove.
A very nice park in the middle of Baguio City, there are lots of people visiting Burnham Park to enjoy and feel the cold weather of the City. You'll be surely enjoy your vacation and relaxed you from all of your problems.

After visiting Glenn 50's Diner, Laperal White House, Mines View, been to SM Baguio to buy some new clothes and check out what's on sale, we then headed to the famous church in Baguio, the Our Lady of the Atonement Cathedral beside Session road. We were supposed to head to this church upon arrival to Baguio City to give thanks for our safe trip way up to the city, but unfortunately, we came in too early too late for the church mass. And unfortunately again, when we got to the church, there's no scheduled mass in the afternoon. I really loved this church from the first time we visited this church a long time ago, back when my status is still "In a Relationship" and not "Married". I have this dream that someday when we decided to renew our vows and finally decided to have a church wedding ceremony, we will be blessed in this church. Oh, what a dream. The church is located in Upper Session Baguio City, the church architecture is very romantic and vintage, not your typical kind of church, that's why most women dream of having their wedding done here. Apart from being a heritage site, the distinctive pink facade is very feminine, hihihi, so girly. And how about the aisle? Oh, the aisle is very ideal for women who want their wedding to be very dramatic and considering their long aisle who most girls consider on their wedding day. We went up to the Philippines' summer capital in 2010 when we enrolled our eldest at the UP Baguio. Since then we are mesmerized by this small, old yet cosmopolitan mountain city built by the Americans and one of their many works there is the beautiful Camp John Hay. With its manicured green lawns bedecked by colorful flower of different and attractive colors the place is most ideal for visitors who delights in walking and whiling away their time amidst chirping birds, the scent of pine trees and the smiles of friendly people around. The place is home to excellent hotels like Manor and Forest Lodge Hotels that offer good food and attraction, excellent service and facilities equal to none. We fell in love with the city and we are now permanent residents of this beautiful mountain city. Thank you God for this gift of beautiful place of retirement.

This place is good for someone who loves art and history, where I do include my self in loving history. They do have a lot of nipa hut where I think it will serve as your hotel room if you wanted to stay there, and also a "bul-ol". The restaurant in Tam Awan also serves a satisfying meal. I was a child back then but still I can remember the very good experience I have in Tam Awan village.

There are signs for Pay Parking all over the place, but when I asked the Police stationed there, they told me that I don't have to pay anything. Session Rd is the heart of Baguio City, everything is there or at least near there. You have a lot of choices for dining when in Session Rd, from fast food to food stalls, name it and it's there. You can also find convenience stores and shopping centers in the vicinity of Session Rd.
