These gardens are a hidden gem and look good in all seasons. The hellebores are outstanding and the summer borders are beautiful.

Highdown Vineyard is a venue for functions apart from this we are not open for visitors.
Our afternoon tea after a funeral at Worthing Crematorium was the high point of a sad day on a very wet afternoon. Family and friends all commented on how fresh and tasty the food was, especially the cakes and scones. Paul, the owner, was well versed in the COVID-19 restrictions and we were reassured by his knowledge and the measures in place for social distancing and hand hygiene . The venue is spacious inside and we had plenty of room to make sure people were comfortable. It was just a shame that awful weather prevented us from making use of the beautiful outside space. James and Beth who served us on the day were well organised, and accommodating. They worked hard keeping their guests supplied with food and drinks. They were also friendly and welcoming which was much appreciated. The added bonus was the Highdown Vineyard’s own white wine which was enjoyed by all. All in all it’s a super location, great food and excellent management and staff. I would definitely consider using Highdown Vineyard for a party or other celebration in the future.

Yes it really was 10th June & a Monday & raining very hard! So to the rescue came the Connaught Theatre/Cinema! This beautiful place is supported by superb volunteers who on a Monday 1st showing provide tea or coffee & a choice of biscuits & Cinema entry ALL FOR £4 each! We saw Aladdin in very cosy seats with cupholders & a clear sound & screen view! A special mention to Fiona who made us both very welcome there as 1st timers. She was rightly enthusiastic & very informative & we will revisit again when we return to lovely Worthing.

This stunning Edwardian cinema, first opened in April 1911 and, having recently celebrated its centenary, has been fully restored to its former glory and is once again open to the public. With our friendly team of staff, this is certainly the place to come and be entertained with your film of choice. We have two screens, including the opulent main auditorium, seating 500 and the more intimate 'Electric Theatre', with it's newly refurbished Premier seating.
The Dome is a beautiful listed cinema in Worthing. It has retained a lot of its original features and is like ‘stepping back in time’.There are three screens.Screen 1 is my favourite as it is very big and spacious and has the most atmosphere. The seats are comfortable with plenty of leg room. There is a bar where you can enjoy a drink before the movie or even take it in with you to watch it.I love it here as it has such much character and is very relaxing.Well worth a visit-once you’ve been to this cinema you won’t want to go anywhere else!

I have visited this pub several times since it opened years ago and it’s always awesome. Great staff, great atmosphere, great board games and great drinks. Highly recommended.

Well worth a visit to see all those windows along the centre of the wooden walk and to have a coffee in the southern pavilion which is a wonderful venue for weddings etc. My grandchildren love the amusement arcade to spend some coins on the many machines and then to sit on the many seats available all along the pier with an ice cream and watch the anglers.

The gently sloping beach is sand and shingle, with most of the sandier parts being covered at high tide. At low tide some rock pools are uncovered. Little shells or sea glass but I found some hag stones. No lifeguard service but there is zoning for water sports. Worthing Pier built in 1862 is along the beach and has public restrooms to the right of the entrance There is some parking along Marine Parade with direct access to the beach. There is also a large multi- storey car park, adjacent to the beach and more parking around the town. There are lots of cafes and restaurants in the town just a short walk from the clean beach.
