If you're looking for some great Florida beaches but aren't necessarily interested in a mega-resort or theme park atmosphere, Pensacola might just be the place for your perfect weekend. Home to Gulf Islands National Seashore, the city offers some of the best fishing and boating in the area. Inland, canoeing enthusiasts won't want to miss the beauty of the Blackwater River. Closer to town, the city has a proud military heritage, which can be seen at attractions like the National Museum of Naval Aviation and the Pensacola Naval Air Station.

The Vietnam Veterans Memorial on a smaller scale.
The wall reminds me of the wall in D.C. Very sobering experience. To walk along is see all who gave there lives is sobering.

Pensacola Beach is the main attraction on this island.
The drive between Navarre Beach and Pensacola Beach is a wonderful and restful cruise along the coast. Pull over into the access points and you have miles of white sand and green water with hardly any people. If people are what you want, go to Pensacola Beach or Navarre Beach. For history.... Fort Pickens is your place. Santa Rosa Island is a great place to get away

A historical area with beautiful beaches.
The BEST beaches in the state as far as I am concerned. Plenty of parking, clear water and miles of gulf to walk or swim. There was plenty of room to social distance. If you come in from downtown Pensacola you will be charged $1 to get across the bridge.

We finally made it to a Blue Wahoos game after talking about it for the first few years we lived here... sorry it took us so long! This is a really nice ballpark... beautiful setting, right on Pensacola bay! They have a wide selection of food and drinks... wine, beer and cocktails. It was very hot, but hey, it’s Florida in July so no surprise there. We had a blast in spite of the heat. We will be regular visitors next season! It’s very family friendly, things other than watching the game for the kids if they’re not interested in the game. Can’t say enough good things about this minor league ballpark.. it’s great!

Escape on Palafox is a fun and challenging real-life adventure in the heart of downtown Pensacola. You and your friends will be locked in a room with one goal in mind: Solve the puzzles, find the clues and crack the codes to “escape” the room in 60 minutes or less. Grab your friends, family or co-workers and see if you have what it takes to beat the clock and escape the room!
I booked our visit for my husband's 60th birthday! Age has no limit on fun! We had a very young couple. They were great kids to have been paired with. We had a blast, about 3 minutes to late to escape, but it was a blast! Next visit we’ll do the All Wired” Thank you for the team building and the fun it came with!

Can you solve the puzzles necessary to complete your task before your time has expired? Our escape rooms will challenge your abilities to work as a team, to think outside the box, to pay attention to detail and work under pressure.
GREAT TEAM Building event A lot of critical thinking, intentional listening and communication is key to break "the vault into the bank" We look forward to continue to do this with my team

Had a great time on the three hour cruise we took. Met some fun people, both locals and tourists. The air show practice was really cool and it didn't matter if they only used the grey/white smoke, still awesome to watch them fly. I'm sad to hear they'll be stopping service. Sure hope the park service can figure out another provider.
