There once was an Irish city… You might think "naughty poem" when you hear the word Limerick, but in truth the city inspires so much more than just knowing giggles. Medieval castles and churches give the city a grand feel, while the pubs crawl with lively locals and students who are all craving just one more pint of Guinness. Mother Macs

Mother Macs Public House has been described as a hidden Gem in the citys nightlife. It focuses on providing good quality beers in a relaxed and quirky environment. The bar doesn't take itself too seriously and this is reflected in the casual banter (conversation) which occurs between staff and customers. It boosts one of the largest selections of craft beers in the city offering regular offers and specials. The team work with local/national/international breweries to bring the freshest product to the customers and the effort has been recognised by the beer loving public. The bar itself externally has undergone a complete transformation and displays traditional sign writing techniques of local sign writer Tom Collins. The interior has remained relatively untouched but a number of quirky touches have been added.

Amazing pub and a must- visit when in Limerick. Superb beer selection, very comfortable and charismatic surroundings with friendly staff who took time to tell us about the local craft beer offerings ; the Treaty City Shannon River IPA was made only half a mile away (!) and was sublime. Great place, just like the City itself

I am writing this review several months after our trip, because as we all know life happens. I was determined not to let it fall off the list because I simply must tell you about our experience with Carrig Coaches and Brendan Murphy specifically. My review is taken from an email I sent to Brendan several weeks after our trip. It was to thank him from the bottom of my heart for making our trip so FABULOUS, ENTERTAINING, MEMORABLE and NEVER TO BE DUPICATED. The trip was planned knowing the likelihood that we would travel again just the five of us was minimal. With all that in mind we hoped to have a good time. But then Brendan came along and made it so much better, more memorable, fun, entertaining, engaging and surprising. Our initial itinerary was packed from one must see stop to another. But what Brendan offered was so much more than a driver from one destination to another. He found some many more points along the way that were off the beaten path, little gems that made the journey as intriguing, as fascinating and as enjoyable as the destinations. So many of the little things that he introduced us to that we never would have seen on our own. St. Kevin’s, the chocolate shop, feeding apples to horses along the road and the waterfall in Killarney. He even rearranged a few days so we could have better weather when visiting the Cliffs of Moher. We have told everyone how much he added to our vacation and each review is full of gratitude and love for such a wonderful trip.
