I have visited few saunas and SPA centers in Bishkek, but Afrodita is my favorite! It has everything you need in one place. I really enjoyed my visit as staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Definitely a place to visit again!

I visited the lake at the end of September. I was sure that the weather would be horrible. Fortunately, it was wonderful weather for such month! We started our riding from Altyn-Arashan to Ala-Kul lake. It takes about one day to get there. The last 30 min of our way was on foot. If you don't have time and equipments, better go from Altyn-Arashan to the lake. It was a challenge for me since I went with my sprained ankle. I was so eager to reach the lake even I forgot my pain in my foot. My wish for 2019 was done successfully! It was amazing view of the lake, seemed that it was glad to see us. I know that it will not be the last climb.

Place is great for one or two days get away. Lodging is mostly in yurts or cottages. Valley is very vast and green in summer. Meadows are full of flowers and greenery. Kokomeren river flows in the middle of valley. Many Shepards bring sheep, cows and horses for summer. In winter Ski resort is open. It’s very nice and scenic place

Jyrgalan Valley is located 60 km east to Karakol, Ysyk Kol Province, Kyrgyzstan. Stunning nature, waterfalls, mountains. Summer tourism: hiking, trekking, base yurt camps, horseback riding, kymyz (mares' milk) treatment. Winter tourism: freeride skiing, snowshoe tours, snowcat and snowmobile tours, avalanche safety equipment.
We will recommend the Jyrgalan Valley to all friends coming to Kyrgyzstan. The valley is a short journey from Karakol, but largely untouched by tourism. The scenery is spectacular, with green meadows, wildflowers, pristine lakes, snowy peaks and dramatic views in all directions. We loved the 3-day Box Uchuk lakes hike, with the highlight being a river crossing on horseback and being accompanied by two mares (+ horse porters) and their foals! Anyone who enjoys trekking will love this place!

Gorgeous Lake Kel-Suu was formed thousands years ago due to destruction of the mountain massif. It is located in Kok-Kiya valley (3 520 m), Naryn region, close to the border with China. Particular highlight of trip to the lake is splendid views on the way: At-bashi range, Eki-Naryn canyon (two rivers confluence Small Naryn and Naryn, Koshoi-Korgon fortress of VIII-X century, At-bashy village.
Kel Suu is located in the remote area of Aksai and Kok-Kiya valleys, almost at Kyrgyz-Chinese borders. It's an amazing place with breathtaking atmosphere at any time of the day. Once you reach the yurt camps at Kurumduk valley, or build your ow tent camp, the lake is relatively easy to reach, without significants climbs. Lake is located 5 kilometres from the yurt camps and round trip should take approximately 3 hours. Even though the route is easy, altitude makes the hike slightly more challenging. But you may hire the guide and horses at the camps. Lakes is definitely worth of the trip from Bishkek, as you may visit even other interesting location at At Bashi region - Silk Road caravansarai Tash Rabat or highest Tian Shan waterfall. Border permit is necessary to visit the lake! The level of water changes year to year. If you want to visit the lake while it's full of water, feel free to ask before your trip.

At first I was quite frustrated and almost gave up because I have been calling and emailing for 2 days but didn't get any reply. Then I got an SMS to go directly to the camp.Someone called but we couldn't understand each other. When I arrived at noon,I was the only guest. I walked around and took photos till 3 or 4pm. Someone must have noticed that I had gone without food for a long time and asked if I was hungry. He said dinner would be at 8pm. At first I said I would wait but then I changed my mind.He took me to a canteen where there were biscuits and bread. He made some chopped carrot with a delicious dressing which devoured like a hungry wolf. The next day someone asked if I would like to ride a horse. I said yes. He motioned a horse nearby and told me to mount it. I explained that I did not know how to ride one. Soon someone came with a horse on a leash and told me to mount and led me around the camp! At dinner time a local Kyrgyz guide who probably didn't work for the camp told me and other foreign guests that the middle name of Kyrgyz people was hospitality. It was not an over-statement. Before I met Nazira, I thought for someone who had probably cornered the market it must be a big and burly man. My sexist stereotype was shattered when I finally met her.She was gentle and down-to-earth. When I asked about the bill, she had this expression of nonchalance as if she had forgotten about it until I reminded her. Having read the reviews here,I estimated the amount beforehand and asked her if it was right. She said sure in a casual way and even wanted to give me change. It was much less than I had expected so I refused the change. I have a typical city-dweller mentality. I put locks on my backpack because I had robberies in previous trips.Locals would look at the locks with confusion and seemed offended.I also use a money belt.Just before I arrived when I was in Cholpon-Ata,I pulled the zipper too hard and the knob came out. A kind old lady put it back for me and told me to go to a seamtress nearby to have it sewn back which I did. She charged me only a very small fee. Although I have only been there for a very short time,I dare say that people there lead a simple and pure life in unison with nature. Nazira was pregnant at the time.I wrote this to congratulate her and wish her and her new born the best.Your kindness will come back many times over. Also I would like to thank the French girl who gave me a lift to Naryn.Merci beaucoup:)
