We just had a peak view as the trek to heart shaped lake was stopped in recent days :( Lush green with coconut, palm tress with coffee and tea plantations are blissful.

We have to this place in July 2017 from Bangalore. Accessibility : You can reach the foot of the point by car. From there we took jeep which costs around Rs. 500. What you see : Breathtaking views. You can see tea plantations of Tamil Nadu, Nescafe Factory, Meen Mutthy falls Sochipara falls, and there meeting at the Chaliyar river, the view of Chembra peak, dense forest valley, clouds. Food : There is no food along the way. But there are hotels in Vaduvanchal. Verdict : A must visit for nature lovers. there is a bit of walking along the path surrounded by small bushes. Tip: Be very careful as the land is slippery. there are many insects around. Stay away from those beautiful catterpillars they may sting you so bad that tumhe nani yaad aa jayegi (get into serious trouble).

These waterfalls are a must visit if you are traveling to Wayanad. Start early if you want to visit these waterfalls since they are at quite a distance (roughly about 45 kms from where we were staying. We were staying at sultan Bathery). It closes at 5 pm. Also, it's a very long and a tedious walk to the waterfall which is nestled amidst the thick forest. For those of you suffering from any back or knee pain, I'd suggest to avoid this place. Especially the old people who find it difficult to walk. It involves a lot of walking and it's not an easy walk especially when you are coming back from the waterfall. It's quite steep and the strong sun drains the energy out of you. It's exhausting. But once you get there, you can relax, take photographs and chill in the water. For adventure seekers, you can also get drenched in the waterfall. Carry extra clothes in that case.

A great hike with a steep climb from the parking to the ticket counter. Past the ticket counter there are steps which lead up to prehistoric caves with inscriptions. The caves is around 1000 meters above sea level, and the view is excellent. Be ready to get a great cardio workout and would not be advisable for small kids or people with asthma. There is a separate climb up by modern steps ... making it easier. Definitely a must if in Wayanad.

We visited it in the beginning of Aug, being a rainy season, it was overwhelming water in the falls. The way to the top of the falls was closed due to slippery path and due to high level of water. However, middle and lower fall had plenty of water just falling down to create natural Jacuzzi. Took bath under the natural jaccuzzi and can't explain how wonderful experience it was. The place is clean and well maintained. Older people can also go till the lower and middle of the falls. Path is not challenging to walk. As I was told by the security people there. Oct-Dec would be the best time to visit.

it is very long dam. we tooke jeep as we aere with elders and small kids. the jeep drops at the top. we then took a walk around the dam and the view was really awsome. there is lot of activities there like peddle boating, ziplining etc, kids didnt do as they had already done more in pookode lake and 1 km zip line in way to pookode lake. once in wayanad, it is one of the place everyone visits so we also did. Worth to spend some time there and then move to other turist points in wayanad.
