It is the only Italian region having neither a coastline nor a border with other countries. It includes the Lake Trasimeno, Marmore's Falls, and is crossed by the River Tiber. Arguably the most beautiful balloon flight in the world right in the heart of Umbria. We take off in sight of one of Italy's most revered location: Assisi. Flights are in the morning to take advantage of the cool and calm air. Prosecco and an Umbrian style breakfast after the flight is also part of the fun. Transportation from your accommodation can be provided on request.

Truffle hunting in the beautiful Umbrian hills, an unforgettable culinary experience, a day spent in the company of colorful locals, a stroll through some stunning countryside... The Wild Foods Gastronomical Adventure is a piece of Italy you will never forget. You spend a day immersed in authentic traditional Italian company, culture and cuisine. You hunt truffles, cook truffles, eat truffles, as well as get to experience an amazing part of Italy far away from the usual tourist trails. You also experience some traditional 'wild' cuisine, maybe wild boar stew, sauteed hare, or roast guinea fowl. It's great for foodies and wine-lovers, or for anyone just wanting to immerse themselves in the landscape, people and culture of Umbria.

The undergrounds can be visited by reservation with the formula of the speleological excursion: small groups of max. 10 people are accompanied by an experienced guide. Minimum age of participants 10 years. Duration of excursions is about 1 hour. Excursions take place without the use of mountaineering equipment, they are also suitable for people who are not specifically trained but in good health and are accustomed to normal exercise. Participants should not suffer from claustrophobia (fear of closed environments). Possible pathologies or special needs must be reported to the guide before the start of the excursion. Participants must be on time at the place set for the start of the tour, properly dressed and equipped for the excursion. We recommend: comfortable footwear, comfortable and not too sophisticated clothing (it is easy to get dirty), long trousers. The guide will provide participants with flashlights and protective helmets.
This subterranean tour of Todi is a unique way to learn this beautiful town's history, and definitely I recommend it for adventurously spirited people. Valerio is a very knowledgeable archeologist, explains thoroughly and in detail the history of these tunnels and was a terrific guide. I called him for an appointment for the tour, and he met us with helmets with headlights. I highly recommend!

I had almost given up on the ideal of having a cycling holiday in 2020 due to Covid, however I discovered Inspired Italy by chance and sent an enquiry via their website. I received a call back from Tim, the owner, and, despite there not being any holidays available so late in the season, he put together a package that would enable me to spend a week cycling with him in Cesenatico, on the very roads that local legend Marco Pantani trained on. The package included accommodation, food, bike rental and also the opportunity to experience the end of Stage 12 of the Giro d'Italia in a hospitality tent at the finish line. I'm very grateful to Tim, who was incredibly helpful in the planning of the trip and went out of his way to ensure that everything went smoothly. I was based in the Lungomare Hotel, which specialises in bike holidays. I rented a wonderful Pinarello bike from the hotel, and went on guided rides every day. There are three or four group rides available each day, and you can choose from easy-paced to fast according to your ability, with distances ranging from 50 to 85km. The hotel itself was good, with friendly, helpful staff and amazing food! Although the weather was unseasonably cold the week I was there, the sun shone most of the time as we rode through beautiful scenery and wonderful hilltop villages (stopping for coffee, of course). We were joined in our group by cyclists from throughout Europe and soon got to know each other. Having never ridden with a group, I didn't know what to expect, and, although I am a keen cyclist, I was concerned that I wouldn't be fit enough to keep up. However, I needn't have worried, as the pace was perfect and I really enjoyed the experience of group riding. I thoroughly enjoyed my week in Cesenatico and can highly recommend Experience Italy to anyone looking for a cycling holiday, and I'm hoping to book another holiday with them next year.
