A wonderful boutique winery. Veris Cellars Tasting Room is very interesting. There is one room dedicated to the golfer Ben Hogan. The labels on one of their wine collections show Hogan’s full swing sequence. There is another display of a collections of 18 bottles with the holes of Pebble Beach etched, one hole per bottle. Cathi was our server when we visited and she was very friendly and we enjoyed visiting with her. We also like the wines and bought a case of their JanKris Crossfire. The tasting room is very tastefully decorated.

Visiting Olea Farm is the perfect introduction to the unique extra virgin olive oil tasting. Olives love the warm California sun and produce one of the finest oils on the market. Its taste and essence are intense and powerful yet it is delicate enough to be used in any recipe without over powering the other ingredients.

The owners Family Sarzotti are wonderful hosts. They host generous tastings whether you make a purchase or not. That is unprecedented in the other surrounding as others charge for small tastings. Yes it is small compared to others but their genorosity is not.

PasoPort is a family owned Winery and Distillery in the Paso Robles wine country region. We feature port-style wines, table wines and distilled spirits.
We have been visiting Paso Port for many years. Their port wines are incredibly awesome and the service is excellent. We were served by Lola. She is one of the owners, along with her husband. If you love port style wines, like I do, then visit Paso Port. We have been members for many years. If you just getting into ports, then I suggest Ruby. If you are a port pro, then definitely go with Havana or Tawny. Yes, the ports are named after women. The atmosphere, the ambience....so quite, serene, peaceful. You just hear birds singing in the trees. Visit Paso Port. Tell them that I sent you....although it really won't mean anything!

OMG! A diamond in the rough. This was a great find unknown to most. Of all the wineries in Paso Robles this is the one you want to visit. The owner Ishka and his right hand woman booking agent for the winery Margaret are a phenomenal pair. We booked many wineries prior to coming to Paso Robles but upon arriving still had a spot open on Sunday morning. We were referred by another winery to make sure we saw Guyomar winery. To our great surprise we were accepted and an appointment was set for 10:30 am. We arrived at Guyomar winery and were greeted by 2 elephants guarding the front gates. We would find that these elephants represented the body and spirit of the philosophy of the owners. The vineyard was meticulously manicured. We were to learn the the vineyards were dry farmed. This increases the stress and decreases the volume increasing the intensity of the wines we were about to taste. Then came the wines, OMG. Ishka then provided the personal touch. The winery owners philosophy about the land, terroir and his praise for his mentors Richard Sauret consultant, and wine maker Steve Glossner . Next came a special touch the food of Ishka’s home land of Sri Lanka butter Chicken. The spices paired well with the intensity of the wines If you get an opportunity to visit this winery it will be a highlight of your visit to Paso Robles Thank YOU Ishka and Margaret. Steve
