The Fundacion Cristino de Vera- Espacio Cultural CajaCanarias contains the extraordinary collection of works donated by Cristino Vera (Tenerife, 1931), one of the most relevant artists of the Spanish Art of the 20th centuryThe building, the headquarters of the Fundación, located on a housing of the eighteenth century, preserves the traditional elements of Canary Islands architecture and constitutes a point of reference when you visit San Cristóbal de La Laguna, World Heritage City.
We went to see Cristina De Vera exhibition which was a kind of pointillism style - I liked the two landscape paintings of Toledo best. Other unusual paintings on display. Building had amazing wooden floors and ceilings. Free after 5 on Friday afternoons.

This charming church located in a square that bears his name and where the La Laguna food market is located, is one of the emblematic places of the first capital of the island. Essential visit.

Come to this unusual museum and discover the laws and principles that govern nature and the universe.
It was soooo amazing! If you are into science and have kids of any (and I mean it – any) age with you, that’s the place to be. We have spent 3h in this museum and honestly – we could have spent twice as much. It’s very hands-on experience, there is even room for toddlers (toddler science – how cool is that??) to explore. My kids (5 & 8) had an amazing time in this museum and we will definitely return on our next visit to Tenerife.

A place for folk history and reflection on contemporary culture, for driving on the past of the island and recording the present.
The building is the real star here - it has been beautifully restored and offers a great vision of wealthy life in the Canary islands. Add to this interesting exhibits covering the history of the islands and the life of the inhabitants over the last 500 years and this makes for a very worth while visit. The best of the local museums for my money. Admission was free.
