Top 10 Things to do Good for a Rainy Day in Rosario, Litoral

June 26, 2021 Myesha Cogley

This urban waterworld is a fast-growing city tucked into a bend of the Parana River about 186 miles northwest of Buenos Aires. Slip into a kayak or take a cruise for the best river views, or hit the city center, bustling with discos, theaters, pedestrian malls, restaurants and parks popular with cyclists. A national monument on the riverbank honors the city's historic role as the site where the Argentine flag was first flown.

I spent 2 and 1/2 months living in Rosario with a host family as an Au Pair. I was blessed to be welcomed into such a loving family who went out of their way to make me feel at home. During my first month in Rosario, I took Spanish classes at the Spanish in Rosario school with both Claudio and Cintia as my professors (Mon-Fri). 6 months before arriving in Rosario I graduated from college with a minor in Spanish; I can confidently say that my Spanish speaking and comprehension skills improved more in 1 month with Claudio and Cintia as my teachers, than in my 4 years at university. It was truly a blessing having such passionate and thoughtful teachers invest themselves in my success. The school is a wonderful place to build friendships, meet other people (young and old) from around the world, and actually practice the tools you are being taught. Spanish in Rosario is exceptionally special.
