This is a very informative tour, and full of history. Learned a few things that I had never realized from living around here, that I thought were odd..........the tour explained :-)

Barnard Griffin is the premier family owned winery in Washington state and is an important part of every wine enthusiast's tour of the state's greatest wineries. The tasting room is open daily from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM. The winery campus also features a restaurant, The Kitchen at Barnard Griffin, and a fused glass art gallery, db Studios. In addition to tasting our award winning wines, enjoy lunch or dinner in the Kitchen at Barnard Griffin. The restaurant is open Tuesday through Saturday from 12:00pm until 9:00pm. During your visit you can also experience the art of glass fusion at db Studios. The studio hosts many glass fusing classes and the campus displays beautiful glass pieces created by winery co-owner, Deborah Barnard.
My wife and I went to the winery on a whim late in the afternoon. It was our first experience visiting a winery in the U.S.. We were so happy we made the choice. Because of the issues related to COVID-19 we were seated on the patio, offered a glass of their award winning Sangiovese Rose and charcuterie plate. We couldn’t have been treated better. We selected several of their Private reserve wines to taste and ultimately purchase. We are now participants in their wine club. We will certainly look forward to our quarterly wine deliveries. Especially we would like to thank the gentleman who served us and made the tastings so informative. He made us feel special, even though I was dressed very casually ( bib overalls ). Overall a “perfect” experience!

Great in the spring and summer outdoor sitting. Beautiful lawn and grounds. Good wine and excellent ice cold Cider after a long hike. Fireplace and fire pits for fall and winter warmth. Shaded outdoor sitting in summer.

This museum wasn’t on our original itinerary, but we’re really glad we stopped. The geology and natural history exhibits are top notch and would appeal to all ages. We learned a lot about Hanford and how the government set up a plutonium plant here quickly to develop the atomic bomb. It gave us a lot of new perspective on World War 2 and the Cold War.

LIGO Hanford is one of the two Laser Interferometry Gravitational Observatories that first detected the gravitational wave propagating from the collision of two black holes a few years ago and then more recently two neutron stars. For this the LIGO team was awarded the Nobel Prize in physics. The tour is fascinating, as you'll get a sense of the unprecedented precision with which distance is measured. Mind-blowing. Check ahead for when tours are operating.

3rd time here at Fiction. Service is personable and prompt. Food is above area standard by far. Food that was suppose to be served warm was, crispy was, nothing over or undercooked, and everything was flavorful. Thank you for great tasty lunch at a reasonable price.

The gallery has a lovely gift shop with a range of art from ceramics to paintings, and the rotating art exhibits are always high quality.
