This trailblazing and innovative boutique winery is pioneering the Namibian wine industry, carving out its legacy in the arid dry granite rock.
We visited Erongo Moutain Winery with friend and we had our kids with us. We heard that it was an awesome establishment and just had to try it. Upon arrival we were greeted by Boppy. Although Namibia is experiencing a record 7year drought, and the vineyards are quite dry, our expectations was exceeded. We could not believe that such a place existed in Namibia. We booked a tour which was also presented by Boppy, which she handled with great passion and very professional. We had lunch and did wine tasting while we had lunch which was very nice and relaxing. The food was truly amazing, we ordered from the starters, mains and desert and it was devine to say the least. All the dishes was very well presented and the taste was out of this world. The dish that stood out was the Half liquid chocolate cake. The wines was also very nice to taste, and the apertifs I really enjoyed. The kids was very well taken care of as well. All in all, we had an awesome time at Erongo Mountain Winery and their Jewel reastaurant. The menus and wines are very well priced. We had such a great time and time flew by while we enjoyed the delightful food and drinks. This establishment comes highly recommended! We will visit again. When traveling through Omaruru this place is a must visit.

Primarily, EHRA's wildlife volunteer program is structured in 2-week-long rotations throughout the year. Volunteers may join the team for a max of 12 weeks. Tours begin in Swakop but are spent in Damaraland. EHRA is an NPO which aims to reduce conflict between Namibian desert-adapted elephants and communities in the area. Our program offers on the ground, practical and realistic solutions to curbing the decline of elephant numbers and keeping the people safe. The award-winning volunteer projects offer a variety of trip options and enables anyone wanting to volunteer in Africa to contribute towards elephant conservation and really make a difference! Each fortnight is split into a dusty, sweaty and rewarding Build Week, followed by the thrill of very important Elephant Patrols. We also offer Family Volunteer, School and University trips, and the annual Fundraising Trek over the mighty Brandberg. Join us and enjoy the Namibian desert and campfire nights under the starry sky!

I really enjoyed visiting here - I love rocks and gemstones. There is a lot of variety, with items beyond jewelry for sale as well. I bought a few things, and I thought they were all priced well. Simone was very friendly and helpful, and I enjoyed chatting with her. I wish I could have stayed longer!

The gems and stones are awesome - what beautiful colours, it is quite mind-boggling of what is on display. Expensive, but if one can afford to buy, then why not!
