I had the most fabulous 70 minute pregnancy full body massage with Carrie at The Little Mountain Spa. Carrie has an amazing cushion with an adjustable hole in it it to comfortably hold your bump so you can lie on your tummy. I felt very supported and was able to enjoy a complete full body massage which I didn’t expect in pregnancy, though it’s the time you need it most (especially as I have a toddler to look after too!). Carrie herself is warm, friendly and professional. The salon is easy to find and a very relaxing space. The website and booking system was very easy to navigate and understand. As far as I know, Carrie’s is the only company to offer this specialist massage treatment in pregnancy in the Morzine/Les Gets/Avoriaz area and at €65 it was an absolute bargain too. I’d definitely like to go back, luckily at 16 weeks pregnant, I have plenty of time as Carrie can take you up until 30 weeks or maybe more depending on your size.

The Tibetan Bar is located in Morzine in the french alps. Formally know as the "Buddha Café"the now called Tibetan café was establish in 2000. If you are looking for somewhere to enjoy great drinks with awesome music and an incredible atmosphere the Tibetan is the place for you ! One of the oldest bar in Morzine (est. 1926) and probably the most famous one. There is only one beer on tap, Mützig Old Lager, a strong one. The decor is old and simple, yet the place gets very busy after 4pm. Since June 2016, it's now the 3rd generation in the family running it.

Le ROOM is an escape game puzzle that requires a team to crack codes and solve problems to escape within 1 hour. Bring your family, friends or work colleagues to challenge the ROOM, situated just opposite the Morzine Tourist Office. At 1800 feet above sea level where the snow stays till the end of April in Avoriaz in the French Alps the biggest surprise is to find that you can be in the tropics! Imagine that when you have been skiing in the freezing cold. This is because of the water experience called Aquariaz , which was built in 2012, which is an indoor warm paradise. It has spurting jets and tiles and rope that takes you down into the swimming area via a Lazy River. This is a great feeling. Jets under the water push you along but it is not too deep, probably just over a metre, and it winds its way around interesting plants and palm trees from the southern hemisphere. My grandsons were absolutely delighted to be there. They were up and down the curly water slides and tubes which were quite safe for 2 year old boys. Parents could choose to sit in deckchairs and chill out in the lounge in the outdoor pool with a Jacuzzi. For the more energetic there are underwater bicycles that have their frames fixed to the bottom. A photographer took some beautiful photographs of the children and myself. All the while there were plenty of lifeguards about. The great thing is that you could look at the view out of the window across the water and its surface becoming part of the mountain horizon. Floors were non-slippery mosaic. Everything was easy to negotiate. I even left my disability scooter just inside the entrance and it was looked after. The lockers were very easy to use as was the disabled toilet. My only real complaint was that there was no café area but you can’t have everything when you are enjoying a South Sea island in the winter sun!
