Ben Lomond and its outbuildings were constructed for Benjamin Tasker Chinn in 1832. Confederate forces used Ben Lomond as a hospital following the 1861 Battle of First Manassas. Signatures of Federal soldiers who occupied the property in 1862 are still visible inside the house. Tour the Civil War hospital, where you can see, smell, touch, hear, and taste history. Then see the restored slave quarter, smokehouse and dairy and enjoy the fragrant Rose Garden. The site is open for tours May-October. Grounds are open year round from dawn-dusk. Tours November-April are available with advanced notice.

This was our first stop on our Eastern History tour and my husband and I were very impressed with all the information they can pack into one small museum. We enjoyed the artifacts a lot and the staff was helpful and very friendly. Free tour was awesome too.

This quaint museum proved to be a delightful treat of exhibits that allows visitors to connect with the persons who wore those helmets, carried those packs, and utilized those pieces of equipment while risky/giving their lives for our country's protection. It is definatey worth taking an hour or two of your day to experience this reminder of what generations of our soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines have sacrificed for American liberty!

My experience with Elite Shooting Sports was all in all pretty great. I was visiting from the UK and went with my partner, a female shooter/virginia native. We hired 2 handguns and had an hour with an instructor. The overall cost for both of us, with ammo and targets, an hour with the instructor and 2 handgun rentals came to I think around 160 dollars, which was entirely worth it. Our instructor (Kevin) was great, with good solid clear beginner's instruction for me, and also instruction for my partner, who has more experience. He was very calm and relaxed, which definitely helps with the nervousness while having your first range experience. He had me shooting pretty good groups in no time. The facilities are modern and clean, and felt safe and well organised. Everything's very regimented and everyone seems to know exactly what they're doing, which again is reassuring. Overall we both had a great time, learned a few things, and we'll be going back!

Sinistral Brewing Company is a family-owned, seven-barrel brewery in Historic Manassas. We're a gathering spot where the world slows down enough that you can catch up a little. Family-friendly, kids & dogs welcomed, outside food allowed.
Excellent brewery in old town Manassas. They do a great job of making many different beers and are very attentive unlike the monster brewery near by. The sour and Porter are excellent and many in our group enjoyed the fish taco IPA.
