Buddha Dive PADI 5 Star Dive Resort is located just a few minutes south from the Trawangan's Harbour. The school started in 1981 under the name of Dive Indonesia, being the first PADI dive center in the island, but in 2008 changed the name to Buddha Dive, in reference at the smiley Buddha. The installations offer an unique atmosphere in the front beach of one of the most famous Gilis. As a PADI 5 Star Dive Center, Buddha Dive provides a full range of PADI courses, from Discover Scuba Diving until Professional Level as well as guided fun dives. Pondok Anggrek Putih offers half day cooking classes every day from Monday to Saturday. Classes consist of a minimum of 2 people to a maximum of 7 people. Experience the different flavour of "Indonesian cuisine" and learn about the local products. From spicy local "Lombok food" with hot chilies and herbs to the sweetness of Javanese food made with fresh coconut milk, palm sugar and peanuts. The courses are conducted in a personal relaxed atmosphere in English or German by the Indonesian owner. Our cooking classes commence daily at 11:30 am and are a fun educational and enjoyable way to learn about the Indonesian food and culture for the whole family. Bookings are essential.
