Kutaisi (Georgian: ქუთაისი [kʰutʰɑisi]; ancient names: Aea/Aia, Kotais, Kutatisi, Kutaïsi) is the legislative capital of Georgia, and its 3rd most populous city. Situated 221 kilometres (137 miles) west of Tbilisi, on the Rioni River, it is the capital of the western region of Imereti. Historically one of the major cities of Georgia, it served as the capital of the Kingdom of Georgia in the Middle Ages, and later as the capital of the Kingdom of Imereti. The Parliament of Georgia moved to Kutaisi in 2012, in an effort to both acknowledge the status of the city, and to decentralise the Georgian government.

Baia’s Wine consists of a two-hectare vineyard and bottling plant in Obcha, Georgia. We produce and bottle a number of different wines, but a dry wine in particular as the micro-climate suits this type of wine perfectly. Our company owns a farmhouse for staying and local restaurant with an amazing local specialties
The food and wine were very good and the staff super friendly. However, I drank too much Chacha, fell into a bush and slept for 12 hours. 10/10 would go again!

We went here just to have a look. And ended up buying hand crafted wooden spoons, roller pins, chopping boards of walnut for nothing. Nugbari (why didn’t we buy more! It is the walnut grape covered sausage like things hanging here and there). And some good amount of fruits, yeah and some fruity tea as well. Friendly locals and very interesting place and surprisingly clean and well organised.
