Club 85 is Hertfordshire's best and only dedicated live music venue which regularly hosts a wide variety of live music and DJs. Along with two well stocked bars and good facilities it is ready to entertain you all night long!
Went to this venue to see my favourite band from Rochester . Great venue upstairs , spacious and well decorated for bands / gigs . Bar prices pretty standard . Friendly staff .

The Factory Playhouse Hitchin opened its doors on Friday 1st May 2015. A 204 seater theatre on the 1st floor of an old, disused 12,000 sq ft factory in Hitchin. Immersive theatre, set in the traverse with an automated revolving stage and live band! Bring a date. Bring your friends. Girls night out. Have a glass of wine or visit our Prosecco bar! Share a cheese board in the most unique setting in Hitchin!
The whole experience, right from the greeting as you get out of the car is exceptional. Brilliant setting, attention to detail in the service makes for a fantastic day/evening. The show and talent is absolutely top notch. I have seen 4 shows at this venue and they are outstanding. What a fantastic local facility, love it !

A museum of the history of education set in a complex of historic classrooms and schools buildings. With four historic classrooms, the delightful Headmaster's House, displays, exhibitions, cafe and shop, this really is the place where learning comes to life. Please check website before visiting for up to date visiting times and special events.
I visited this small museum today with my 5 and 8 year old. You feel Covid safe and follow a route around the head masters house, then old school rooms and play ground. There is a great team of volunteers who make you feel incredibly welcome and introduce you to the areas which have been reconstructed with huge attention to detail. The children loved the school rooms and house and were allowed to engage with the spaces. The volunteers have lots of time for you and are happy to answer all your questions. There is lots to see and no pressure to rush. If you bring you smart phone with you the kids can also listen to some of the pupils of the school telling their stories. A great place for young and old if you have 1-2 hours spare in Hitchin.

A small theatre where the actors interact very closely with the audience some of whom are made part of the show. The panto is hilarious and the trio of actors work tirelessly to entertain the audience. Plenty of smut and innuendo as would be expected from such a play and you can bring your drinks in from the bar upstairs. Highly recommended.

Water Mill, Museum, and Nature Reserve. A working watermill with a collection of historic rural objects, open to the public on most Sundays during the summer usually free admission unless there is a special event. The adjacent Nature Reserve and car park is open most days of the year.
Lovely family day out with some interesting things to see. Enjoyed the cafe cake and drinks too. Well priced.

Carole and her team are amazing! They helped me organise a last minute hen do for my mother, as the original vendor had fallen through (which I’m so incredibly grateful for). She made us all feel extremely welcome as a large group, and made the hen party one to remember. It’s located in a beautiful little outhouse in the garden, we met their friendly dog on the way out. They helped with all our questions whilst making our clay sculptures, and gave useful suggestions. Really relaxed environment and everyone in the group said they would like to return with their own families. Couldn’t recommend it enough

Parish Church of St Mary's, Hitchin. Church of England, Anglican.
St Mary's Church is located on the edge of the river next to Hitchin Market. There are lots of nice views of the church from the riverside so make sure you take time to enjoy the scenery. You can go in the church under normal circumstances and the grounds are open to walk around and explore the gravestones. Well worth visiting if you are in the area.
