Belgian-inspired brewery using organic malts and bottle-conditioned with blackberry honey. The home of Matzobrau, Golden Rose, and G++ ales. Oregon's only brewery without an IPA!

If you are a visitor and plan a Valley wine tour, put this little place on your list and save yourself lots of time and effort. Ruby is one of the closest vineyards to Hillsboro and the wine valley tour sites. If you are looking for pretentious, fancy, stuffy and expensive...pass. If your prefer friendly, casual, lovely views, folks who understand what wine is about- hospitality and fun, this is your spot. The owners will be there, the staff will greet you warmly and the tastings are great. Learn about the vines on property, their other sources, Andrew, the winemaker, the history of the place, Steve's family that came west on The Trail, how he and Flora met and other tales. Look at the back of the bottles and note the small production...this is boutique without the attitude. Handcrafted? That is an understatement. Each varietal is an experience. Steve and Andrew are very careful...it has to be right. Pinot Noir is a pesky grape. It is stubborn, like a child having a tantrum until you pick it up and give it a hug. Ruby hugs its grapes. There is a reason this is one of our favorite wine clubs.

Award-winning Oregon wines from a beautiful estate winery only 25 minutes from downtown Portland and 10 minutes from high-tech Hillsboro. Nestled in the foothills of the Tualatin Mountains, Helvetia Vineyards & Winery has been producing fine pinot noir, chardonnay, and pinot gris since 1992. The winery also sources wine grapes from vineyards on the east side of the Cascades. Visit the 1905 farmhouse in historic Helvetia and its beautiful grounds for picnics or just for the solitude of the great outdoors. Open afternoons daily except Monday throughout the summer.

The Rice Northwest Museum of Rocks and Minerals houses a world-class collection recognized as the finest in the Pacific Northwest and one of the best in the nation. Located just west of Portland, Oregon, in Hillsboro, the Museum showcases not only fine rocks and minerals, but also fossils, meteorites, lapidary art, and gemstones from both the Pacific Northwest and all around the world.
There is no way to describe this place in a way that would make it sound as truly amazing as it is. The place is room after room of wonder and your imagination can not help but go into overdrive. I highly recommend this for all ages.

A trip down memory lane to watch ZZ TOP playing in the Venetian Theatre was well worth the $135.00 ticket! The Theatre venue for this classic rock band was perfect! Sound quality in the theatre was excellant. Size of theatre still relatively modest by current standards. Bar at the top of seating very convenient. Generous pour made the drink price fair. Seat room and spacing good, as I am tall and need more room. I would feel confident seeing any live music in this venue again. Great fun watching some bad-ass old rockers, that was all the better because the theatre venue was superb.

The seating is fantastic, comfortable, good screen visibility, and worth the extra mile to get there.
