Fuel your imagination as you walk around Hawkes Bay’s largest Hand’s-on Interactive Museum. It’s a fascinating, family-friendly place, a place where children of all ages can have fun while learning. You can immerse yourself in an Aladdin’s Cave of technology, science and history. Explore our large collection of vintage machines, gadgets, or simply take a trip down memory lane while playing in the arcade, or phoning a friend the old fashioned way.
If you have a place in your heart for nostalgia, you will love this museum. From pedal cars to Horse drawn Hearse, or 1950s School Dental Clinic, you will find plenty to take you back to the "good old days"!

Omg what a beautiful venue. This was one of the 4 stops on our guided wine tour and we had a blast. Greeted and served by Laura, the founders daughter, we were treated with care and respect...and with a fantastic quick wit and easy banter! The lass is a natural! We heard of the wineries history, struggles and progress while we were offered a delicious platter for our group and with each wine tasting that followed we fell more in love with her. We may have tried to set her up with a single brother haha. The selection of gourmet picnic items available for purchase, as well as the wines, were delicious and Laura made our time there so much fun. We'll be sure to recommend you to all and will be back in the future :)

Bob guided us through his love for Tempranillo and we enjoyed his tales as much as the wine. Purchased couple of bottles and the GrandReserve is a keepsake. Olive oil was awesome. Friendly staff and had a lovely afternoon.

At Mission Estate, we have been perfecting our craft since 1851. By combining the traditional craft of winemaking with the latest technology, we are reaching out to a new generation of wine lovers across the globe.
My girlfriend and I visited Mission Estate when we were in Napier and were pleasantly surprised with the friendliness of the staff who did the wine tasting - Chris from Coventry you are amazing and you made our day! So much interesting knowledge considering he's new and a great laugh for us! Free wine glass is a bonus and the dessert wine was delicious! Thoroughly recommend

We welcome visitors to our cellar door, located at the winery in the heart of the Gimblett Gravels wine region. Originally a working part of the winery, the cellar door is an impressive space with 5 metre-high ceilings and a great view of our white barrel hall through a huge sliding glass door. Here you can purchase from our full range of award winning wines and a wide selection is open for tasting. You can even pick up a bottle or two of something special – wines only retailed through the cellar door – or take home a souvenir of your visit from our quality branded merchandise. Our lovely gardens and expansive lawn make the perfect spot to enjoy a picnic – you can make up your own platter from our selection of delicious produce. In the summer we often have live music and hot food available at weekends, just check the events section of our website. The cellar door team are a knowledgeable and friendly bunch who will guide you through our wines and answer your questions. They might even have a bottle of something “not on the list” for you to try, especially at weekends. The moment you turn into the driveway and drive through the gates you know you are in for something special. Beautiful building with inside booths looking out over to Te Mata Peak or outside in the tranquil herb garden. We booked a tasting and sat outside. Tasting delicious and informative by friendly staff. We then went for a look around the grounds which are truely amazing - immaculately maintained and walking though the grape vines was memorising with the Hills as a backdrop, This is a must visit if you are visiting Hawkes Bay. Accommodation is also available here.
