Dundas is a community tucked beneath the Niagara Escarpment in southern Ontario, Canada. It became incorporated as a town on July 28, 1847. Dundas today, with its picturesque downtown, heritage homes and tree lined streets, still echoes that time. Informative, and fun! At the Dundas Museum & Archives, discover Dundas from the time of the glaciers' slow carving of the valley through to today's vibrant community. The experiences and impact of individuals along the way come alive through objects used in their every day lives. We invite you to visit and explore the stories of people and events that have shaped the Valley Town.
I really enjoyed all of the memorabilia displayed in the museum and was very surprised by their attention to detail. IT was excellent for students, the curious and people of all ages.

This was an impromptu stop when we were driving by on the way to another winery. We had never really noticed it before and thought why not! We were greeted with a big smile by Jeremy, my new life long friend, he was warm, knowledgeable and helpful. He taught us more about the process, told us stories about the wines and winery and chatted with my husband (the D.D.) while us girls were tasting. They have light snacks and a charcuterie plate, which can be made with gluten free crackers, if you order in advance, available. We seen one in person while we were there - they looked quite tasty. (We were actually in the area for a soccer tournament. The kids came in to see how long we were going to be and make use of the restroom - they offered the kids giant freezies and use of the jungle gym. They even chatted and joked with the kids about how every time we are in the area for a tournament, the kids get dragged to wineries on the way into Niagara Falls. ) We left with a case of red and white wine, while leaving a promise that Jeremy and Leaning Post will definitely be a permanent stop on our tours from now on!

Experience a guided tour of this 40-room Italianate-style villa built in the 1830's on Burlington Heights; the former site of a fortified military encampment established by the British in 1813.
Great guided tour of this "castle" - knowledgeable guide and the house was beautifully set up as a museum. We came out with a real understanding of life at the time. Thoroughly recommend!

if you love military history especially aviation history this is the place to go! You will have the opportunity to sit in the cockpit of World War II Canadian combat aircraft .. and take a virtual reality experience that is amazing and by the way that costs no extra over the admission price. They have volunteers there that are a wealth of information ... many were actually pilots in World War II.

Our first visit to this gallery. We really enjoyed the special exhibit on Canadian comic book art - well put together and simply fascinating. The rest of gallery is really good as well. The permanent collection has some real gems and would make it worth the visit alone, for any art enthusiast. A nice building with a decent gallery shop.
