Frisco in Colorado is a small town close to several ski resorts. With fantastic scope for skiing and other outdoor pursuits as well as being a great base from which to explore Colorado and the Rocky Mountains, Frisco describes itself as the Main Street of the Rockies, and is a great place for a family holiday. The first stop for many tourists in Frisco will be the Frisco Nordic Center at the Peninsula Recreation Area, with facilities for skating, cross country skiing and snowshoeing throughout the winter months. The Breckenridge and Copper Mountain ski resorts are also nearby and provide all sorts of skiing and snowboarding opportunities. Any outdoor enthusiast will certainly find a huge range of ski trails and activities for all levels of experience and ability. If you're feeling particularly adventurous, you can even take the whole family white water rafting! In the evenings, Frisco is a small town, but contains an impressive number of restaurants, shops and nightlife. And if you need a break from the slopes, the Frisco Historic Park & Museum is great for kids, a collection of preserved and reconstructed historic buildings which chart Frisco's development from trapper camp to mining town to its present day tourist haven.

Frisco Escape Room is a fun, challenging, immersive, interactive game experience. While it looks like an ordinary room, it’s actually a puzzle. During your adventure in our escapes, you will find yourself flexing your brain and looking in nooks and crannies you never even noticed. Find the hidden objects, figure out the clues and solve the puzzles to earn your freedom.
We did the Finders Keepers room with two teenagers, two parents, and a grandmother. We've done multiple escape rooms in different states and countries, and this one was very clever and well done. The introduction and explanation was very helpful, and the hints did not give anything away (we still had to work at the puzzle after a hint was shared.) I would highly recommend this as a fun activity away from your outdoor adventures in Frisco.

The Frisco Historic Park & Museum preserves and promotes the Town of Frisco's heritage and history by presenting an excellent educational museum experience to the community and its visitors, connecting the past, present and future to the world around us.
We went to the Frisco Historic Park and Museum by accident and kept finding more to see. We ended up not seeing everything, but were kept interested and entertained for a couple of hours. We noticed a number of groups with younger children visiting and they all seemed to be happy. It's a good shady area as well - I found the sun to be very hot when we visited near the end of August. Once we were in the museum area it didn't worry me at all. There are many different buildings, including a jail, a church and a variety of cabins. Parking was easy to find within a short walk of the museum. The web site is worth reviewing before you go. It will help set expectations, especially for those with children.

The business was totally rebranded this spring and is more like a western department store than an emporium. Actually has some museum qualities with historical skis and really fantastic animal mounts, deer, elk, sheep, bobcats and even skunks! The 5 or 6 fashion departments are outstanding and the best vintage clothing collection I have ever shopped, priced right. Friendly and helpful staff could not do enough to pack our purchases to travel by car. I have heard nothing but rave reviews of the new and improved shopping experience. We will go back every time we visit this area.

GatherHouse Glassblowing Studio & Gallery is located in beautiful downtown Frisco, Colorado. It is the working artist's studio of John Hudnut. John teaches classes and gives free public demonstrations on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday afternoons. Fascinating for all ages.
I went to the John’s class because I love glass blowing. My wife signed me up so I took 5 of my kids (12,12,10,9 and 8). When we got there, John asked if I would rather it be all 5 of the kids instead of just me. I was VERY apprehensive because the Glory Hole is over 1600 degrees and my kids are often clumsy. I decided to let him give it a whirl with the kids and I was so glad I did. I have done a glass blowing class before (in Seattle) but it wasn’t worth someone nearly as experienced as John. He was more hands on with the kids than my previous class was with me. My 12 year olds were thrilled to be the apprentices and they were often going back and forth to the Glory Hole with molten glass. Then, my 10 year old with special needs was asked to use the blow torch to heat the glass! I don’t trust my kid with a butter knife much less a blow torch, but John instructed him what to do and my son did perfectly. Even my 8 year old daughter got to pull her own glass and made a killer whale as she pulled the molten glass and turned it as well. Like I said, 5 stars is not enough to give John. He was amazing and instructive. He helped each of my kids feel a part of the action and made me feel at peace with it all. Then, after all is said and done, we have several pieces of blown glass that my kids made themselves and several other pieces that he had on display because my wife and I love blown glass. It was phenomenal and if you are wondering if you should do it, YES would be the answer!!!

Outer Range Brewing Co. is micro-brewery specializing in IPAs and Belgian ales. It was awarded 2nd Best New Brewery in the US in 2017 by USA Today and a Breakout Brewery of 2018 by Craft Beer & Brewing Magazine. Dogs welcome. Bring your own food, order from the Rio next door and they'll deliver it to your seat, or grab some food from Whole Foods Market across the parking lot. Check out the yurt on the patio during winter months!
Come here and drink some great beer. This was an awesome find - a very large selection of IPAs with some other tasty and lighter beers and all really really good. Over a couple of visits we enjoyed around 10 of their selections and thought they were all very enjoyable. I think that is a darn good success rate for brewing tasty beer! Also, the Flat White was about as good as they get. Stop here for beer (or coffee).
