Taiwan Mandarin Institute is a Chinese learning center located in Taipei city Centre. The institute is regarded as the leading private mandarin school in Taiwan and is known for its Flexible weekly starting dates, High quality mandarin Chinese teaching and weekly cultural excursions
Good school, good location. Stayed in an apartment provided by the school which was also very good and just a few minutes walk from the school. Lots of restaurants, a supermarket and a lively night market just around the corner. Lots than 50m to the entrance of a metro station and bus stop. So this is a perfect place to lean Mandarin. They teach both simplified and traditional characters whichever you prefer.

We just dropped in after completing a morning walking tour. Had to wait a little bit because they didn't have the masseuses available, however we were provided with plenty of refreshments (coffee, soft drinks, cakes and biscuits) while waiting. The hostess engaged with us about where we were from and packages available. We had a great time along with an excellent quality massage. Just a heads up that it is in a residential area with a small sign on the gate. We missed it the first time around, so keep your eyes peeled. Overall we had a fantastic experience and would certainly recommend this place if you're looking for a quality massage. Would definitely revisit again if we come back to Taipei!

I've had authentic Thai massage (ie Body Yoga) done from Thailand to the USA. This place is great. Every detail of the experience is nearly perfect. English is well spoken. I paid for an hour but the whole thing seemed like 2 hrs from the food scrub to the massage to the ginger tea at the end. All staff were friendly and professional.

The Wistaria teahouse is a real treasure in the Taipei Tea Scene. The first step into the small courtyard with the Koi pond and the green plante takes you already out of big City Stress and into the calm atmosphere of tea. There was no free space in the tatami room, so we stayed in the room with tables and chairs. It's a beautiful room with a strong positive atmosphere. One tea in the menu was more appealing than the next - which made the choice real hard. An interesting Pu er selection, cliff teas and of course different kinds of Oolongs were waiting to be discovered. We decided to go first with the aged Shui Xian. If you don't know about tea preparation, the stuff is going to introduce you. We had about 11 brews of that tea and it was still tasty. With every brew the charcoal taste vanished and fruity notes appeared. Good choice for cold days or to find relief from running thoughts. Second we chose a Pu er: Tze Ping (2003). What to say about... ?! The tea was calming, surprisingly fresh in taste, wonderful honeyredbrown colour. The tea made my whole body smile. I had never found so much Qi in any Pu er as in this one. Thank you, Wistaria, for this perfect afternoon. We will come back!

Lai Hao is a Taiwan gift shop selling various Taiwan style gifts and souvenirs. By developing and searching diverse high-quality Taiwan products, we hope more people know about Taiwan and discover the beauty from the island. The fusion of old and new Taiwan culture has always been the core value of Lai Hao. Instead of using repetitious symbol, which you will often see in the ordinary souvenir shop, as the only way to convey Taiwan image, we try to combine retro elements and objects and demonstrate “New Taiwan Aesthetics” We attempt to not only rebuild the confidence of M.I.T quality, but also enhance the overall evaluation of Taiwan products. Taiwan has way been difficult in its diplomatic relationships. By introducing different aspects of Taiwan culture from our products, we look forward to redefining Taiwan style gifts and souvenirs; furthermore, acting as an important bridge between Taiwan and the world.
