Corfu is studded with whitewashed houses, Byzantine churches, and the remains of Venetian fortresses and Greek temples. Wander the ancient streets of the Roman village of Kassiopi or explore the central Esplanade of the eponymous Corfu Town. For a DIY spa experience, lather yourself in mineral mud on the shore of the Canal D’Amour. Legend has it that the waterfalls of Nymphes used to attract the mythological beauties of the same name, who would flock to the village to bathe in the pristine waters.

"Welcome! Please, come in! The Count will be with you presently. He hopes you will join him and the Countess in the drawing room for tea." This is what you would hear at Casa Parlante, the most alive historical museum in Corfu. A 19th century noble mansion comes to life with stories to tell. In the unique architectural setting of a classical mansion in the historic Old town of Corfu, the everyday life of the island's 19th century nobility is recreated. Through animated figures, using robotic technology, and the perfect reproduction of decor and furnishing, Casa Parlante promises to deliver you a true insight into bygone Corfu. Awakening all your senses, the traditions of the island unfold in front of you, depicting family life in an authentic experience of sights, sounds and smells. Before your eyes the house will come to life... Listen to the children of the family playing music, smell the aromas of the cook's virtuosic cuisine, read the headlines of the Count's newspaper... Casa Parlante is a unique museum: it brings history to life and lets the visitor breathe it in.
Interesting, small, local history museum. Interior in good shape as well as furnitures and objects. Museum uses motorized dummies to animate history. They are not robots, only the head or arm is moving back and forth. The museum tour is always led by the guide. There is possibility to ask questions, which is absolutely nice. This is a little gem of Cofu Town..the price is 5 euro each, and you also receive a glass of rose liqueur and a guided tour of 19th century living...You will enjoy this museum. It's something different from others, it has its uniqueness.

Sweet 'N Spicy is a small shop at the center of the old town in Corfu. It is a shop filled with wonderful herbs and spices from around the world. We have over 60 different mixed spice blends which are homemade recipes and all mixed by us. With no preservatives or colors. We strongly believe in fresh quality. You will also find, top quality seasoned sea salt from Cyrpus, seasoned Himalayan salts made all by us and traditional products such as extra virgin olive oil where we offer everyone a taste. We have many different types of amazing honeys, Beeswax creams, and organic cosmetics made from olive and argan oil. Our biggest pleasure is talking about our spices and giving ideas on how to use each one. Nothing is nicer than sharing with others your passion and that is exactly what we do.
Sweet & Spicy is A-1 for shopping - and for meeting Katherine, a fun and friendly spice guru. I first stopped in for an olive oil tasting during a Cultural/Culinary tour of Old town (“Walking Tours of Corfu”) - and fell in love with the shop and with Katherine, its owner. Spending some time there is a wonderful experience of taste, smell, knowledge and fun, and Katherine brings it all alive. Just prior to my departure, I returned to do some shopping for my sister and nephews (good chefs all), and had yet another good visit with Katherine, her husband, and other customers. Yes, it’s that friendly! I highly recommend Sweet ‘n Spicy for some terrific gifts (for others and yourself!), for some cooking ideas, and for a thoroughly enjoyable visit with Katherine.

We have searched for artifacts depicting the traditional methods of olive oil extraction , including donkey and hand driven millstones dating from 16oo,hand and diesel driven presses dating from 1906 and many more..... These artifacts have been renovated to depict olive oil production from the mid 1850s to present day.We offer a tour and olive oil tasting.
This place is a must see. We were lucky and were the only people there due to the time of year and probably Covid. We therefore had a private tour or the museum and the factory. The guys showing us round spoke perfect English and could answer all of our questions. There is a little shop there too with olive oil of every variety and some olive wood pieces too. Not to be missed

As a couple in our 50s didn't know whether this would be to our taste. Couldn't fault it! Friendly, attentive staff (recognise you on any repeat visits) fab cocktails, pleasant retro decor and a great DJ mixing 60s, 70's and 80's tunes with a modern twist. Only regret that we hadn't found this place earlier in our holiday...oh well there's always next year!!
