We were advised by the Tourist Information Centre to visit here. How right they were! What an amazing experience walking into a time warp. The Hart family have been working here since very early in the c.20th when they uprooted from London and came here with the Arts & Crafts movement. Talking with these amazing artisans whilst they beat and file the silver to shape using tools that are well over 100 years old is simply awe inspiring. They are so proud of their roots - rightly so! The finished products are beautiful works of art.

Little Oak vineyard is an English vineyard set in the heart of the Cotswolds. We are open for tours & tastings all year and have a number of gift ideas available direct from the vineyard. We are open daily and welcome visitors for tours & tastings (during the summer we get extremely busy so to avoid disappointment we would recommend booking, with prior booking we can offer lunch too.
Gemma was a great host, explaining how the vineyard started and the different varieties and vintages of wines produced from this little slice of the Cotswolds. Wine tasting was fun and we enjoyed walking around the fields learning about growing grapes in the Uk. They were kind enough to let us bring our dogs along. There is also a lunch option with a range of local produce on offer which went down a treat after all the drinking.

This stately church, built in the 1400s, is the town's famous Perpendicular wool church, which can be seen from miles around.
Although there was a Norman church on this site from the 12th century, the present structure has evolved since the middle of the 13th century. There is a wealth of history to be found here, including a unique pair of Altar hanging Frontals (c.1500) which were copied at the request of Queen Mary for the High Altar of Westminster Abbey for George V's coronation ceremony in 1912. There is also possibly the earliest surviving example of a Cope, which dates from around 1400. The original stained glass windows from the 15th century have almost all been replaced, with only small fragments remaining. The Jacobean pulpit and Flemish lectern were gifts from Sir Baptist Hicks, whose ornate tomb is in the Gainsborough Chapel. This is a magnificent church, well worth visiting.

If you happen to find yourself in England's historic and charming Cotswolds, visit this delightful inn and pub, which also serves great food.
Arrived to a warm welcome from the staff at the bar & shown to our room. Totally covid compliant throughout. Large room, with lovely big comfy bed and fluffy white towels. Everything provided in the room for a couple of nights away (shower gel, hand soap, hairdryer, plus usual refreshments) Ate dinner here twice and enjoyed everything. The mushroom starter was delicious. Excellent beef, lamb shank & steak & kidney pie. Good breakfast choice with very good cooked breakfast. Lovely wholegrain toast! Could not fault the staff who were always friendly and attentive. Would definitely stay here again & highly recommend, you will not be disappointed.

The gallery at the guild is a co-operative of 28 Cotswold artists, sculptors, ceramicists, photographers, woodturners, metalworkers, glass makers, textile artists and cabinet makers whose exhibitions of work change every six weeks. The gallery is stewarded by its members and volunteers and is open daily. The gallery is on the ground floor of The Old Silk Mill in Chipping Campden which was once the home of C R Ashbee's Guild of Handicraft. Todays it is still home to Hart's Gold and Silversmiths as well as Caroline Richardson Jewellery and Campden Coffee Company.
My husband and I were both really taken by the quality of workmanship and the great appeal and variety of the pieces on display. We surprised ourselves by buying two significant items when buying one was rare for us. We will certainly return when we are again in the area as the items on display are changed frequently.
