The Rebel is a traditional style cinema showing the latest Big Screen releases.
We went and saw Miltary Wives, coming from a city where there are lots of cinemas we were delighted to find an independent cinema that gave us an overall better experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, the cinema was clean, comfortable seats with ample leg room. Would definitely visit again when in the area.

We run half day workshops during which you can try fused glass tiffany glass or bone carving. We also make and sell driftwood sculpture and art glass, all the goods we sell are made in cornwall.
I’m so pleased I finally booked a workshop. It was great fun really friendly and easy to learn. I was so delighted with my creation I booked a second session. If you don’t fancy creating your own masterpiece there are lots of lovely ready made pieces or if you ask you can have something made in your choice of colour etc!

I'm so glad this shop has TripAdvisor as it was actually my favourite gift shop in the whole of Bude. It had a sense of quirkiness about it that made it very memorable. The shop is kind of divided into two halves. I did lots of my holiday gift shopping in here- there was lots of Bude Souvenirs - found the lucky Pasties quite funny and cute! I Was impressed by the large Bomb Cosmetics stand in store and was particularly impressed that they stocked my favourite bomb cosmetics soap sponges (they are so hard to find in shops!) so I made sure I stocked up whilst I was there! Lots of lovely soapy gifts alongside the bomb cosmetics and candles as well as incense sticks and cones and seaside-themed decorations and trinkets, toys- there was literally every gift you could think of! Will definately come again when I return to Bude! Such a lovely shop!

Absolutely wonderful afternoon spent learning about the history of Bude. Having visited the shop in the past, we signed up for the Friday afternoon local history talk. The proprietor, Clair, spent a lot of time interviewing locals about what happened during the war years, and shares some amazing stories of what happened during those years - most notably "when the Americans came". I won't share any spoilers but it was riveting - true social history - and our kids (12 and 10) loved it too. The fee included a very generous WW2 inspired tea - including spam and corned beef sandwiches (as well as ham and cheese) - as well as cakes made using authentic recipes from the period (as well as cakes made using far too much butter and sugar...) I can't speak highly enough of this place - absolutely magic.
