Attended the 20th vintage celebration dinner of the winery. What a fantastic experience. Murray and Pam such lovely people and producers of top class wine. Over indulged in the wine and food and woke up today without a headache. Russell Blaikie and his team prepared food for the flight of Riesling tastings and the spire and it was better than delicious. It’s hard to imagine how good the cheese toastie, the tomatoes on toast and the beetroot sausage roll was without being there. Russell Blaikie what a delight to meet and to talk about the fabulous paella he cooked for the spire. Oranje tractor is a delight to visit.

Dignified and appropriate memorial to those who gave so much for the future of their country. Housed in a beautifully designed building in sympathy with its surroundings in Albany’s Mount Clarence Parklands this is a thoughtful and dynamic collection and tribute to the Anzacs who left these shores for WWI. Relating the stories of the Anzac troops from recruitment to convoy to the fields of Gallipoli and Flanders through narrative, interactive displays and a unique system of following a single soldier, this memorial takes you to what it was really like, from both sides of the conflict. A place to pause and reflect.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch with some family friends and our young children. The food and wine was amazing and the outlook from the restaurant over the wildflowers was beautiful. The food is all made from fresh local ingredients and the flavors really speak for themselves. We enjoyed a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc which was perfect with our seafood lunch. The children’s meals were brilliant and were only $15. Everything was homemade and included a juice box, tiny teddies, ice cream and fruit for dessert. The waitress also came around during their lunch with a toy for them to keep! Highly reckon!

Wilson Brewing Company is a family owned and operated craft brewery, located in beautiful Albany, western Australia. Using the freshest local and Australian produce to hand craft and alternative to mass produced commercial beer. Wilson Brewing Company offers five core beers, along with monthly seasonal beer releases.
My husband organised a catch up with friends at Wilson’s brewing company. Located in a shed with a beautiful wood fire, pool tables and their brewery cat- Barley, this felt homey, welcoming and warm. Both males had a paddle, and enjoyed the beer immensely, food was delicious and great value for money. Purchasing cartons here was significantly cheaper than from chain liquor stores, and we happily bought a few to help support this amazing business. If you’re looking for a low key brewery with all of the deliciousness (food and beverage)- you’ve found the place to visit.
