My partner and I both did our open water course here. We communicated with Charlotte beforehand who was warm and helpful. Farouk was our instructor and he taught us well. We were made to feel really welcome at Universal Dive, every day our equipment was laid out for us before we began the dive. Charlotte is really passionate about conservation and the dive centre have sponsored Abdul Chalets and another place with metal straws, which was pleasing to see. On our last day, once qualified, we dived with Alex who was a lot of fun (despite being a big Arsenal fan Hehe) and we got to see turtles! If you are staying nearby I would highly recommend diving with these guys. It is meant to be a good place to learn as visibility is good, there's LOADS to see and it isn't too deep. Thank you to everyone. Ps. Any negative reviews on here seem to be about people who don't work there anymore, so don't let that put you off. The equipment is well looked after.

It's our "hidden gem"! - since 2004! - we have been there five times until now - normally for a week, and its a part of our winter- or ester holidays. What's special with Redang Island? - well, here comes a list :) - some of the most beautiful beaches on earth with clean white sand - crystal clear seawater - no pollution in the sea - a hand full of very good hotels, we stay at the same every time - the locals/ residents are friendly, the younger generation speaking very good english - it's a very safe island, no crime- there is a police- and a fire dept stations - all the hotels have bay watch and the staff is looking after all their guests - there are first aid stations and there is a doctor office on the island What we are doing: - swimming, snorkling, kiting, boat tours/renting, relaxing in the resort, visit the village - have a visit and snorkling in the Marine Park - there is also a golf course - guidet jungel trekking, guidet snorkling tours by boat to the Coral reefs - bird, wild animals watching, - fishing - ok, thats enough for a week :) ( our last visit was some years ago)

Teluk Keke

KK.Beach is the southwestern side of Perhentian Besar. There are several beautiful coral gardens in front of here, so you can enjoy snorkeling here all day. The useful information for here is being able to get here without boat. The way to here is simple. You can get here with walking along the beach from Big Beach (in front of Tuna Bay) to south.

Reviewed By BigAsianChoice - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Teluk Keke was supposed to be the more isolated beach, but there was an event going on during my visit, and the northern part of the beach was filled with people and boats. This part of the beach had camping grounds and shade from large trees as well. Avoiding the crowd, I walked to the south of the bay, beyond the boulders outcrop, where surprisingly not many people was there. The surface of those boulders was quite smooth, they must have withstand quite a lot of weathering. The beach to the south was narrower with thick vegetation inland, and was quite a quiet place with enough private beach space for everybody there. This was a beautiful isolated beach with green vegetation, fine sand and clear water.
