The whole experience was fantastic, well thought out and informative. Both my husband and little girl who is 4 were totally captivated by Kath and her knowledge and passion about bees, Plus the honey tasting at the end was perfect. I can't wait to visit the new site and see how this business grows and educates of the importance of bees. Brilliant, thanks ????

Blackpool Tower Ballroom

Ornately decorated dance hall and theater is known for its Mighty Wurlitzer organ, which is played for dancing, concerts and special events during certain times of the year.

Reviewed By johnanddavid - Radlett, United Kingdom

The Blackpool Tower Ballroom remains one of the great jewels in Blackpool's crown. The moment you walk through those doors, you are transported back to what seems like a bygone age of grace and civility, in surroundings of slightly faded (part of its charm) beauty and glamour. There is a licenced bar and it is also a fantastic place to enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of delicious cake, whilst listening to the classic tunes played superbly on the magnificent Wurlitzer organ and watching the dancers 'take to the floor'. The Blackpool Tower Ballroom is just a lovely, majestic place to while away a couple of hours and to escape from the hurly-burly of everyday life.

Hoghton Tower

Hoghton Tower is one of Lancashire’s gems – come and find out why. A Tudor – Elizabethan manor and the ancestral home of the de Hoghton family, the Tower stands proudly on its hill overlooking the surrounding countryside. Join a guided house tour and go back to the 16th century following the steps of William Shakespeare, Charles Dickens and King James I who, at a banquet held in his honour, famously knighted a loin of beef 'Sir Loin'. Stroll through the beautiful walled gardens and take in the views of Lancashire, the Lake District and North Wales. Book an afternoon tea or just call in for lunch, coffee and cake to soak up some history! Private and School tours available year-round with prior arrangement. Sample local produce at the Farmers’ Market on the third Sunday of each month. Stay overnight in the Irishman's Tower. Hoghton Tower is quite simply unique – the perfect setting for your fairy tale wedding. All income benefits the Hoghton Tower Preservation Trust.

We decided to break up the drive home by stopping here. We had booked a guided tour online the day before we visited. We were shown the house by Lorraine whose knowledge of the history of the house is good. I do feel though they could tell us more about this being the third most haunted house in england. Also a bit more of its link with lady Godiva might be worth a mention.

Totally fallen in love with Fleetwood it's so clean everywhere, the Council do a good job, it's a lovely walk along the beach and prom with lots of original Victorian touches around the area.. A beautiful inland lighthouse located in front of the the original grand Euston hotel which in its heyday must have been an imposing landmark on the front.. Not a lot for kids other than a lovely beach and play area but it's a great place with lots of little cafes and snackeries

My friend and I arrived ready for some pampering at Woodland Spa after a fully laden ten mile hike but that’s another story. Having visited previously, (though a couple of years ago) I was interested to find out if the standards were still the same. My friend goes to lots of spas so I really hoped Woodland was going to deliver as it was my treat for her birthday. We were not disappointed. From the check-in at reception of Crow Wood Leisure, through to reception at the spa, therapists, the terrace bar, Bertram’s restaurant and breakfast in the lounge every single member of staff was excellent. Everyone was both professional and friendly. The spa itself was immaculate and not too full. We were able to visit all of the steam / sauna rooms without feeling like sardines. My friend and I both had a mini back massage. My therapist Harriet was fabulous - really felt like she’d found my problem areas and worked on them even in a short time. The food in Bertram’s was beautifully presented and very tasty. The beds were super comfy - had a great nights sleep. Breakfast in the lounge was equally excellent, set me up for the day! A thoroughly perfect Spa, highly recommended. I’m going back in July with my mum.

Great night for the whole family, Performing were Elvis, Whitney, Michael Jackson and ABBA. All of which were great. But a special shoutout to Michael Jackson and the backing dances who were great! All of the performing was well complimented with a cold drink from the bar and a bite to eat from the snack bar. Would defiantly recommend if in Blackpool.
