It was an unexpected delight to experience many different variations of thermal waters from warms baths, to volcanic saunas to delightfully strong warm water pressured showers. Wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy all the things Negombo had to offer. We will go back.

The Poseidon Thermal Gardens, unique in the world, are situated on the island of Ischia (in the Gulf of Naples) in the beautiful bay of Citara, and know in ancient roman times for their hot waters. A complex of 20 pools with different temperature from 28 to 40 degrees and filled with hot underground thermal water. The hot springs are of volcanic origin and are particularly indicated for orthopedic ailments and breathing problems. They have also a regenerating effect on the skin against stress and aging. In the medical and beauty Center there is a team of professional that take care of your needs using advance medical and beauty treatments. Poseidon sits in an ecological environment where relax and rest are in synergy with the sea, the sun and the thermal waters. The park is open from Easter to October 31st.
these thermal spa gardens Are absolute bliss and a must see when in ischia. We spent two afternoons here during our 5 night holiday ... apart from being spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained and staffed by a very pleasant staff, the thermal pools (20 approximately) are amazing, with varying temperatures and sizes, they are interspersed by sun loungers, deck chairs and parasols. The private beach here overlooks a bay and the sunset is spectacular.. there is a restaurant offering a wide variety of delicious and reasonably priced food, along with beers and wine. This destination is well worth a visit and worth every cent: highly recommend it

The Park of the Spring of Nitrodi offers a hydro-aromatherapy trail which thanks to the direct contact with aromatic and officinal plants boosts the effects of the water. After having drunk the water and taken a shower, visitors can go for a walk in the Park and stop in the specially organised hydro-aromatherapy areas.

Although originally discovered by Ancient Greece colonizers 2,500 years ago, it was not until the Roman Empire that the many benefits of the Cavascura hot springs were developed into bathing, natural cave sauna and mineral shower facilities for the swinging elite of Rome. Very basic but totally authentic baths, definitely not glamorous. My wife and I enjoyed the hot mud bath treatment where you strip down and lie in hot mud then wrapped in a sheet to enhance the therapeutic seeping of the mud's minerals deep into your joints and bones. So soothing that we were lulled into blissful serenity. 30 Euro each for 3 hours in this simple, pleasurable paradise.
