A romantically lighted and quaint cafe, Silk Thai boasts traditional Thai food in a beautiful setting. Order off the regular menu, or indulge in one of the seasonal specialties and enjoy as your taste buds are transported to a world away.
It's my Dad's fault. He generally pics not-so-great places to eat. He loves, for example, the incredibly mediocre El Toro mexican (ahem!) place down the street. So while my expectations were not high, my mood after dinner was.Best salad rolls I've ever had. Fresh, delicious, bordering on perfection. Spicy Fish dish was another winner. The Asparagus Lover with chicken was simply sauced yet full of flavor.Fun atmosphere, a bit slow on the service, but overall pleasant experience. Would gladly go back, again.
Healthy food family style we use brown sugar and no MSG added.
I have been wanted to try this restaurant for some time. Sorry I waited so long because it wonderful. I had the Kee Mao with pork. The seasonings were perfect and the vegetables were still crisp. I am definitely coming back. While I was there, they were doing a significant of carry out and delivery service business.Parking lot is very small and crowded. Be aware; but that will stop me from coming back. The interior was very attractive.
Billed as a Thai restaurant, there are many authentic Thai dishes, but also many Pan-Asian, perhaps recipes left over from the previous owners under a different name. The Thai dishes are family-kitchen cooking, not modern gourmet-style. The prices are moderate, but seem a little higher than what they deserve. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, but barely above fast-food.Because there are so many Pan-Asian restaurants in the area, my preference would be for this one to focus more on elevating Thai food with fresh and authentic ingredients instead of serving the same stir-fried dishes that every other restaurant does. But what they serve is good, just not great, with frozen vegetables in many dishes. The menu does allow vegetarians to select tofu or all vegetables for most dishes.

It may be slightly out of the way, but this latest addition to the Indochine restaurant family is first rate. It hasn't been completely "discovered" yet so seating isn't a problem. The attentive service is impressive. The fare is excellent and the pricing is more than reasonable. Take a short jaunt and check it out. Has a great family run feel to it.

Our son, who lives in Tacoma, suggested having dinner here, so we went last night. What a delightful surprise! This restaurant is very well appointed! We were extremely impressed with the decor, which set the stage for a delicious meal! I can't say enough about Russel, our waiter. He was superb in every way - from food selections, to his prompt, efficient service. The food was LEGIT! Just a warning, when they say the heat is 5 stars, they truly mean 5 stars!!! I had the Pepper Prawns served with cabbage, carrots, and broccoli. I ordered 5 stars, and it was painfully awesome! We will most definitely be back!

Definitely one of the top Thai restaurants in the Tacoma/Pierce county area. Crispy garlic chicken and chicken pad Thai were good. Avocado spring rolls were excellent! Coconut ice cream and sweet sticky rice with fresh mango....how could you go wrong on these! Besides Simply Thai in Tukwila this will be one of my favorite Thai places

This small out of the way place is worth finding. The Issan style dishes should be first choice- the sour pork, the sausages, the crispy fried cauliflower and the whole fried fish with green papaya are excellent. Very friendly. They are trying Sunday morning breakfasts- call and see when they are doing this.

We have enjoyed this friendly little restaurant for years. We travel a fair amount and seldom do we encounter a restaurant that serves the quality of Thai food as the Oriental noodle. Fresh, varied, and reasonably priced. The service is always friendly and efficient.

We can always count on Chili Thai for great food, good service and reasonable prices. Their Pineapple Fried Rice can't be beat, and I don't think there is anything on the menu that is not absolutely delicious, made from all fresh ingredients and served as hot as you'd like (or not). Start with the Fresh Rolls for sure, and ask for Peanut Sauce to go with the sweet hot dipping sauce. The Jungle Pork is especially good, as is the Garlic Chicken and Ginger Beef. Wine and beer available to complete your meal. A great little neighborhood restaurant.

I really love the food and the restful interior. The wait staff are all very kind and efficient and the food is as good as any I've had around the world. I'm glad they don't sweeten it up like many of the various Asian restaurants do in the Pierce County area. They know how to spice according to "stars."
