Reviews on Thai food in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, Thailand. Nakhon Si Thammarat (Thai: นครศรีธรรมราช, pronounced [ná(ʔ).kʰɔ̄ːn sǐː tʰām.mā.râːt]; from Pali Nagara Sri Dhammaraja) is a city (thesaban nakhon) in southern Thailand, capital of the Nakhon Si Thammarat Province and the Nakhon Si Thammarat District. It is about 610 km (380 mi) south of Bangkok, on the east coast of the Malay Peninsula. The city was the administrative center of southern Thailand during most of its history. Originally a coastal city, silting moved the coastline away from the city. The city has a much larger north to south extension than west to east, which dates back to its original location on a flood-save dune. The modern city centre on the train station is north of Old Town. As of 2005, the city had a population of 105,417.

The Rock 99 is tucked away behind the main street but worth tracking down if you are looking for a break from Southern Thai food. Western style food as well as Asian and Thai, a good list of cocktails and not too loud rock from the 70's playing. Sitting outside is pleasant as you are not bothered by traffic.
A relaxed and welcoming social space for meetings, group dining and date nights, Day&Night Of Surat is a restaurant and cocktail bar, beer bar, wine bar and all day Cafe. Serving Thai and International dishes and house-made Pizza and High end Steak. After

It locate near Grand park hotel. It's old local food, may be many year operate from gen to gen. The price of seafood is not high compare to the food quality and taste. The food is not too much spice, but still in southern style, so easy to eat both for Thai and foreigner.I recommend Pla Krapong tod nampla (Sea bass deep fried with fish sauce), Poo gon nueang (Carb meat steam), Bai miang pad khai (Miang leaves stir fried with egg).I pretty sure that you will love and taste it
Chaoruea restuarant is one of a long-established local restaurants in Nakhon town. My husband's friend hosted this meal and ordered about 10 dishes in total. The local southern food was slightly salty and extremely spicy, seafood was very fresh. I enjoyed the sauteed crab and streamed snakehead fish with chillies very much.Another thing that amazed me was, the wooden decorations inside the restaurant. The planks used for stairs and benches were huge and very rare.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal here last night. Made very welcome by the owner who has an English version of the menu. The menu is long- really long with many Southern Thai specialities. The staff hover while you are reading the menu which makes me feel rather rushed. They also seem to think that foreigners want to eat ants eggs. We ordered Nam prik of which they have several varieties with accompanying veg. We also had gnetum with prawns in coconut milk and some fried Fish and a delicious chicken in turmeric soup. Than Nam prik was so delicious we ordered another bowl. Service was generally good apart from having to ask twice for beer and twice for the Nam prik. We will probably return tonight. The nangtalung show was marred by the usually badly behaved thai children.

Opposite of the infamous Pra Mahathat Temple, PixZel Caffe offers an ever-evolving and delectable selection of drinks & unique dishes made from fresh ingredients. The welcoming staff, decor marked by local photography, and superb menu are unbeatable. With
We had visited PixZel Caffe previously earlier this year and as we were in the area again, we thought we would visit again hoping that it would still be as good. We certainly weren't disappointed. It really is an interesting place full of photographic artifacts which presumably most people don't notice as everyone seemed to looking at their mobile phones! There's good music as well! Thai cafes are renowned for hot drinks but PixZel stands out...their hot Americano, priced at 55baht was absolutely perfect. Their is a wide range of hot and cold drinks available. Free nibbles are also available. As it was lunch time, we chose a large pizza( 250 baht) which was very tasty and well worth the money. If you have a sweet tooth, there is a good selection of cakes available. Don't be put off if there are no available seats downstairs as further tables can be found upstairs.Service is quick, tables are quickly cleaned once customers have left and toilets are situated downstairs. Parking could be a problem but we managed to find a space nearby on the opposite side of the road. Highly recommended.

Heard a lot about Kopi before I go to Nakhon Si Thammarat so I decided I should have breakfast here and I did - a real big breakfast because heard everything was nicehere.I tried the curry chicken rice, the 5-flavor glutinous rice (this is unique), fried yutiao and a basket of dimsum. My favorite was the 5-flavor glutinous rice which I think was the outstanding dish here - something unique - you get savory, sweet, and spicy toppings on the five flavored glutinous rice. The curry chicken is average, so is the dimsum. The fried yutiao is hot, fresh and nice.I heard coffee is good but I am more a tea lover, so I had a pot of tea.
