Der La Jazz : Restaurant & Live Music is so much more than a typical restaurant. Here you will find a comforting ambiance that feeds both the stomach and the soul with Isan hospitality. From the tasteful décor, to the appetizing Thai-Isan and Isan fusion

The restaurant is about 5 klm out of town on the airport road. Set in Garden setting it is very spacious with inside and outside seating and tables. They have extensive Thai and Western menu. The pricing is reasonable when comparing the setting and the food standard to other ''up market'' eating places in Khon Kaen

"You have not eaten breakfast in Khon Kaen until you have eaten here" a local friend said. She was right. The breakfast was excellent. The fresh baked bread with two types of saugase and the eggs cooked on a "tin" plate was just amazing. The coffee was excellent. Felt like I was in Ho chi min city again. Amazing food, very good service and ridiculously low prices. What a combination!

Near the university, this delightful little restaurant apparently does lots of lunch time business from the university. We had just arrived in Khon Kaen so a friend took us here for a quick dinner. It far exceeds the expectations of a quick little eatery. The food was delicious and the staff were wonderful.
Khon Kaen Food Guide: 10 Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Khon Kaen
Established in 2018, Outlaw Khon Kaen was opened to provide high-quality Thai craft beers to the local and expat community in Khon Kaen. We serve Outlaw Brewing craft beer and also a small selection of other Thai craft beers that we believe our customers
My family and I visited Outlaw together in February 2019, and again I have to say - this restaurant is so impressive. The three things I notice most are Excellent Service (Steve obviously cares for his shop and enjoys what he does), the High Quality Product, (I had a mind-blowingly good Hamburger, with Canadian bacon and Thai beef), and finally, the Attention to Detail - thatâs the key in my opinion, just so important when selling a âspecialtyâ or niche item. By the way, though already a great restaurant, The beer here is incredible, one of the best Iâve ever had in 10 years in Thailand (not just one cup either, he has several beers which are absolutely great!)For western food, thereâs probably no better restaurant in the city of KhonKaen (did I mention that itâs directly next to the prettiest lake in town, perfect for an after-dinner stroll on the well-lit boardwalk). A great experience. Five stars for sure

Lots of foreigners hanging out for late morning English breakfast and coffee. Inviting sort of place, located close to Pullman and Kosa hotels.Hi Raintree_Thailand,Thank you for your review. We look forward to hopefully seeing you again soon.

My Thai Partner and I stay in Khon Kaen at least six times each year for a few days. We visited The Smile Restaurant for the first time this week on the recommendation of our hotel and we were not disappointed. The setting by the large lake is beautiful and there is a large choice of inside, air-conditioned, areas and open, outside places to eat.WE visited at a very quiet time of the day in mid afternoon and the initial service was excellent with a fine choice of food on the menu and some really excellent 'Draft' Singha Beer.We chose various dishes and the Fried Chicken and Cashew Nuts,(see photo), was outstanding. Also some delicious Shrimp Spring Rolls and a Green Curry with Crab Meat dish for my Partner. It was all just perfect... very fresh and very tasty. The initial service was brilliant but suddenly when we were close to finishing our main courses the service seemed to stop and I had to call for a waitress to ask for some Deserts, Coffee and maybe another drink. This was produced... slowly, and even then they did not clear away any of the dishes from the main course. I asked them if they were trying to close as the place was very quiet but they said 'Oh no, it is just a quiet period before the evening, and yet there were plenty of waitresses hanging around.I eventually had to ask them to clear away all the old plates etc.I don't know what was going on but it spoilt, in some ways, a really excellent experience.I am hoping that it was just 'One of those days' and we will go back as it could be perfect!!
