Here is a nice place to chill out over coffee and cake or enjoy a Thai or European meal beside the river.The venue is becoming very popular so parking can be difficult sometimes.You can dine on an open air terrace overlooking the river or in an airconditioned room. The food includes typical European dishes and snacks plus a selection of Thai food. If you just want a coffee and cake during the day there is a plentiful supply of both. We recommend the barbeque ribs, probably their signature dish and the lasagne is also excellent. Very modest prices and very friendly staff.

This is a good find a little more expensive but really lovely food. The staff are very helpful and have a fair understanding of English. Menu is in Thai and English,I would recommend the pork knuckle with vegetable rice. Many more tasty dishes. The evenings I visited their was music ( Kareoke ) does not cause any problems you can still here yourself talk. Visit and I'm sure you will enjoy.

Craving a bit of Western food we called in here. Wonderful decor and a really nice atmosphere. The menus were a bit confusing, even for the Thais I think. We managed to order a pizza, only one flavour but that was fine as it was very good, nice base and lots of topping. We watched some very good looking food coming out and we had to try one of the ice cream puddings they looked so good. Waiting staff were a bit hit and miss, trying to catch their eye was quite a challenge!

In short, Great place. Amazing food. Friendly owners. Reasonably priced.I would recommend this place to anyone, I heard by some friends that the Hungarian stew is really good. So I don't even need to think what I'm having next weekend on date night. The menu has everything you want, from West to Eastern European food to Thai food. Begging you go back for more.

Situated 50 metres to the left of Chumphon railways station Aekis is a back packer restaurant and bar proving a good selection of Thai and Western food including deserts which you will not find in most local eateries, all at very competitive prices. The owner Aeki also teaches Mai Thai boxing in a small ring at the far end of the bar. Most staff speak reasonable English. The venue has a pool table and occasional live music but plenty of room for a quiet meal if thatâs your preference. It is the ideal place to stop after a train journey or to visit for an inexpensive dip into local culture.Thank you

We were staying at the Novotel and Lui seafood is a couple of minutes walk to the left of the hotel,not the one opposite which is nowhere near as good as this place..Food was excellent as was the service. There are separate menus for Thais and fafangs a much better choice and much more reasonable prices than that on offer at hotel.Remember to eat early as the kitchen closes at 20.30

Mr. Duu has a small but important contribution to Thung Wua Laen area. He has specialized greatly in having fresh Italian pasta, which is quite rare. This is in addition to having western breakfast, fresh bread daily, and just meticulous attention to detail. Fine dining for local prices. We are spoiled in Chumphon. If there are several customers, be patient. Its good food, but he is only one person. I often call my order in :) But if he doesnt answer, he's probably already busy.

I ordered a dish of spaghetti carbonara. It was good real Italian dish. I do recommend for fine dish dinner. We were forced to come to Chumphon after an emergency evacuation from Koh Tao. We were exhausted and unsettled till we arrived at this beautiful bar/restaurant and met the lovely staff. We chose their original Farang cocktail that was both beautifully presented and delicious. The staff were extremely kind - even offering us bug spray when they saw us itching from mosquito bites. We also had great western fries. Our second round of (different) drinks were equally as delicious to our first round with very reasonable prices too! Kind and attentive staff. Great food and drink. 5/5 Would recommend and will definitely return.
