Been here many times. Once a week or forthnight. Although, I must admit I paid cash all the time. Tonight, I was so shocked when my friend used her Visa card to pay for a $148 meal. When my friend used her card to pay, fortunately she realised the total amount was different. It states $172. $22 was added as TIP without telling the customer. How in earth can this restaurant use their own discretion to add a sum n not tell the customer. The waiter wasnât happy when asked to delete the $22 TIP. Itâs only right for a customer to decide what is a reasonable tip to include depending on the service we received. You donât call the shots. For customers dinning here. Look out for such unethical act by this restaurant. My Friend is upset and wow to boycott this restaurant forever.I am also a regular and fell disappointed devastated by what the restaurant did. Sorry .... you lost my business too.First of all, we thank you and value all our customers feedback. To say that our staff was trying to cheat on the tips and unethical is definitely unfair and unjustifiable. We usually let customers punch in the tips amount themselves while we also notice that customers often punch in their PIN number in the tips section, and only realise once they see the total amount. In this case, we are more than happy to cancel the whole transaction and start all over again. However, we will definitely communicate this to all our staff to ensure that all payments are processed with extra care.
Good food and friendly service. Try the curry puffs - they melt in your mouth.Small restaurant but food is fresh and very tasty. Chicken and ginger was particularly yummy.

New restaurant on high st. Good customer service and willing to modify their menu for Vegan. However, when you see the dishes they serve to other tables, we wonder, if they could or would be willing to do more for vegan customers? Would love to go again and see if the same cooking style can be applied to serve vegan food that looks, and tastes as delicious as the none vegan dishes.Thank you for your thoughtful review sir. Vegan has so many level, if they are very strictly, they won't be able to eat any flavoring agents apart from salt and sugar. If you ever come in next time, let me know you are the one who wrote this review, I want to see you in person and want to know what you have ordered as a vegan dishes that were not delicious as none Vegan. Since you are the expert of Vegan food, please tell me which Vegan restaurant that you think is the best in Melbourne, so I can do a research.

What a surprise this tiny place delivers. My wife lived in Thailand and we have Bangkok visited several time since. Ped's stands head and shoulders above most local Thai restaurants. Presentation is very good and creative while prices are reasonable. It's quite a trek for us to visit but whenever we want Thai food we consider it worth the trip.Ped's lift the experience from Ho Hum to great.

What else can you think in the cold weather outside when you'd like to eat spicy food, of course it's a Thai food. The place is pretty small, they probably have around 12 - 15 table for 2 persons.Interior design wasn't really fancy, it feels like home and humbly looking vibe. It's an open kitchen close to customer's seats, therefore when they keep cooking / have many orders, the place becomes very hot and smokey.I suggest this place is meant for a take away food rather than dine in as it's very loud and noisy, almost impossible to have a comfortable conversation with your mates. The service was alright and really fast; The customer staffs were very efficient. We ordered :* Chicken Pad Thai for $11.00 & Beef Pad Thai for $11.00 *** 2.5/5.0* Seafood Salad (seafood combo with lemon juice, chilli, mint, cucumber, coriander, lettuce and red onion) for $9.00 *** 3.0/5.0* Tom Yum soup (Thai hot & sour soup) for $7.00 *** 3.0/5.0* Thai fried rice (chicken) - mild spicy for $10.00 *** 4.0/5.0The portion of each dish was very generous and the price was relatively cheaper compared to other Thai restaurants. When we're waiting for our food, we saw that many take away orders made. They have more than 10 staffs working on that day considerably for a small shop. It's very busy restaurant because it's really good deal for a Thai food in this portion. We found that the Pad Thai was too sweet and the taste for both Pad Thai chicken & beef were lack of balance.Pad Thai would be my benchmark for a Thai restaurant. If you have no idea what to order in the Thai restaurant, just go with Pad Thai and you wouldn't go wrong. We were pretty pessimistic to try other dishes as soon as we found out the Pad Thai wasn't really good.Surprisingly, the Thai Fried rice was really good and tasty; We loved the Pad thai fried rice and it's the winner on that day. However, it was just too oily. If they reduce the oil used to cook Fried Rice, definitely it's perfect. The other dishes (Seafood Salad and Tom Yum) were average, we didn't find any special nor enjoy it. The quality for the food was alright, it's not the best.Overall, This place is very recommended if you are looking for a good deal Thai food with generous portion without concerning too much about the quality of the food.In reality, I figure it out that many people do not care too much about the taste of the food as long as they have a good deal.Recommended food : Thai Fried riceService : 2.5Taste : 2.5Price : 3.0Speed : 3.5Yay : Thai Fried rice, free serve chilli *no additional chargeNay : Too oily, Pad Thai was too sweet, Tom Yum soup wasn't

You have a listing for Paradai Thai Restaurant at 75 Koornang Road, Carnegie, however there is another Thai restaurant directly across the road from this one called Paradai 2, and this is the one I went to and would like to review. I assume having such a
A little conflicted putting this review. The restaurant itself is lively and packed with good ambience. We order several mains and desserts to share. The meals themselves overall was good Thai, however we received seafood that came out cold. We showed the wait staff who took it back to the kitchen, which was returned to us 5 minutes later with the seafood still cold, which we chose not to eat.The service itself was really poor with the staff not paying attention to the customers regarding orders or requests which we witnessed on our table and surrounding tables. Itâs a little unfortunate as the venue and food in general (other than the cold seafood) was good.

Five adults and two young grandchildren were after dinner after an afternoon in Chadstone shopping centre. Luckily for us we managed a seat in this restaurant as we did not have a booking. It was only 5pm and we promised to leave before 6.30.Service was really good but the food was outstanding. We ordered 5 dishes to share with coconut rice and roti as sides.Very cute of the little girl and boy donning aprons and walking the tables.By the time we had finished dinner, the place was getting very full. And no wonder. The receipt include all the food and beer and wine.

Great local restaurant. We have been there a multiple time. Once with kids, and three other times with friends.Food was great, except for one time, when we ordered Salt & the Pepper Squid Salad. Squid wasn't good, it has a smell. We return it, but they didn't offer us anything else and charged us for it...We will definitely will go there again, but no squid for us next time :)
