Very tense atmosphere in what looked like a cute local restaurant. The boss was constantly and hearably reprimanding her employes. Goat cheese salad with industrially prepared cheese on a few salad leaves soaked in a supermarket-sauce. For 22 swiss francs! Same level of quality for the other dishes. We went to Castel d'Uvrier for a private birthday party, having booked the first (or ground) floor for ourselves. After the aperitif on the terrace (beautiful panorama with the mountains and the vineyards) we enjoyed a fantastic, customized menu which was aligned to the wines we had. One must know that the restaurant is part of one of the biggest wine producers of Valais (Provins), thus the focus of the restaurant is on the wines. Most ingredients are terroir products (special products from the region) and are combined to modern, elegant and tasty dishes. The food was delicious (could have been a little more though), the wines absolutely superbe and the staff very professional and well prepared. We had a very good introduction into the different wines and meals. I recommend this place to enjoy one of the best restaurants in the area of Sion and to get a very good impression of Valais wines. Try to organize yourself a chauffeur... driving might not be a good idea after such an experience.Thank you for visiting us and your lovely feedback! We hope to welcome you back soon.

Actually this place looks nice From The outside. But inside it is small and very noisy. That is the second impression you get after talking with the waitress, who is far from being nice. The speciality is sea fruit .. Hum, we are far from the sea, and that place could make you feel it. I took oyster and I was not feeling well after the meal. The second time I went there, I took mussels. Five of them were not fresh.. Really not fresh .. Maybe, if you want to eat there, try meat ..

In the old town of Sion on a pedestrian only street, parc in the nearby underground garage, is this unpretentious bistro which serves typical local Suiise food. Very friendly service and affordable prices make this restaurant a fantastic choice. We started with very good cheese fondue, followed by beef fondue with potatoes, dry meat, cornichons and small onions. All acompanied by a fresh Valais white and finished with a Valais red. A very pleasant evening despite the typical smell of your clothes after a Fondue feast.

On a semi-pedestrianised street in the centre of town is this restaurant's terrace; popular with the local population and deservedly so; relaxed, good food (penne with smoked salmon, salmon sashimi, dry chilled rose etc). Worth reserving when the weather is good to be out on the terrace.

What more to say than great food, good atmosphere and good friends. Can't say which course was the best but the rhubarb dessert was fantastic! We have been visiting La Sitterie for several years now and can honestly say that we have never been disappointed . The chef Jaques is a master in his field, his dishes are a creative and during the years we have been going there we rarely have the same dish twice.The staff are brilliant and make you feel at home and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. We have travelled a lot and eaten in many excellent restaurants but I can honestly say that it's hard to find one that we enjoy eating in as much as this one.It's fairly small,seating about 24 people so it's necessary to book well in advance. In the summer months there is a really pretty garden you can eat in and at night it looks lovely with fairy lights around. This restaurant is well worth a visit.

The people are very nice and did their best to treat us with special attention. But my extremely expensive aged meat was one third gristle and slab of fat. The rest was ok but it was not what one expected. I took the larger one too as my husband insisted but it was really quite measly. The tart tatin was aweful. They used the wrong doe ( Mille feuile), perhaps store bought. For just two mains, a dessert and a bottle of wine over 210 chf. Pity. I keep trying but I will only go back under duress.
