In our restaurant and guesthouse with two superb rooms travellers will find everything they need when away from home: quality cooking from our Chef Serge Coustrain-Jean (bistrot and dining room) as well as two rooms perfectly furnished for the wellbeing o
By chance, found out this little yet elegant restaurant in Crans Montana commune area (not in the heart of Crans or Montana but in a very nearby village called Chermignon dén-haut). It is a restaurant that I would come back again without any second thoughts. I don't normally enjoy restaurant food when in this part of the world unless you pay a premium price and yet not so convincing. As a frequent visitor to Crans Montana, I lost my faith in food, either expensive or tasteless. Finally, I can say this restaurant solved my taste buds misery :-) The food was very delicious with good quality and surprisingly for a very reasonable price. You could hardly get such good quality delicious food with such good price in Crans Montana, believe me. The service was very pleasant, the waiter was professional and speaks good English! The owner, (unsure if he is the one) had the best smile :-)I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visits Crans Montana! Will stop by at the restaurant again on my next trip :-)

My wife and I had a meeting in Sierre which finished around lunchtime. We asked for a recommendation and were told that "La Grotte" was good. It wasn't so easy to find because one of the roads chosen by the GPS was closed. If you are not familiar with the restaurant, the parking is not so easy to find either. The tables we in outside in a covered glass terrace, and the restaurant was quite full - always a good sign! The service was good, the food was good and the price was correct. It was nice to see Le Patron always present, checking to see that all was OK. Would definitely go there again.

If you enjoy a gastronomic restaurant, you can try the Relais Miégeois. From Sierre, Miège is 5 minutes away with a car. This restaurant is a little less formal than a "regular" gastro restaurant, but the quality of the food and the service really deserve a 5

Every now and again even the most jaded of travellers finds something truly exceptional and unexpected. This is what happened to me at Le Rawyl. Having already munched my way through the starred establishments of Crans, my husband talked me into trying something new - something different. And how glad I was. Exceptional amuse bouche. Perfect cooking. Local ingredients. Very fair pricing. Excellent service. The young belgian chef is incredible. He is worthy of at least 2 stars but sometimes stars are a curse. I hope that Bert can find a balance and continue to enchant customers with his incredible food. The quails egg with summer truffle and smoked breadcrumbs is still very present in my mind, as is the chanterelles with citron and fennel cream. Truly incredible. Bravo !

I have eaten several times at this Cafe and I am never disappointed, always surprised. Like usual, whether at lunch or dinner time, the service is excellent. The waitress is always friendly and very professional. I ordered the "Filets de perch with grilled pistachio" and it was amazing ! A little bowl of lovely and original vegetables were served on the side and the fries were simply delicious. Good fries are not easy to come about. The cafe is full of life, and if you want a more quiet setting, there is a lovely set up in the back.

Great service. The restaurant has a printed menu with variety of pub food and special menus according to seasonal products for example asparagus, innovative dishes like tartar varieties you do not find everywhere. Vallonais dishes with lots of cheese. Tasty beer and local wine - decent prices.

With its beautiful Valais traditional decor, Le Chateau de Villa is where the finest local terroir specialties are served. Cheese dishes are at the centre of these, such as our famous cheese raclette made from raw milk from 5 pastures, our fondue and drie
This is a great place to expereince raclette. I was part of a party that was given the opportunity to sample 5 different raclette cheeses - amazing how different they were. They have excellent local wines and their is an attached shop where you can taste and purchase many of the difficult-to-find Valais wines, including Amigne, Petite Arvine and Lafnetscha.

The two of us went for dinner. The room is a little antiseptic but the tables are well separated: the antithesis of the American Experience. The food was outstandingly cooked and beautifully presented. So what went wrong? Nothing except we don't do complicated and we don't do chichi. There were simply too many differing flavours and attention grabbers in every dish. It's not that we are meat and potatoes lovers either. We like elegance, simplicity and craftsmanship in food, wine, fashion, architecture, music and art. Didier de Courten has all of that to a great degree except simplicity. His works are intricate and thought provoking. I hope many of you read this and decide to go and have a wonderful experience. Give me L'Auberge de L'll, the Trois Tours in Fribourg/Bourguillon, The Connaught in London or the ultimate in understatement the venerable Suchi-Ko in the Ginza. We will try the Brasserie one day but probably continue to stay away from the main dining room.

Comfortably installed in our dining room, we let you discover a fine menu. Our cuisine is inventive and tasty. Our Chef created it according to the seasons. We propose you some beautiful pieces of dry-aged meat grilled in our large fireplace. La Desalpe p
The people are very nice and did their best to treat us with special attention. But my extremely expensive aged meat was one third gristle and slab of fat. The rest was ok but it was not what one expected. I took the larger one too as my husband insisted but it was really quite measly. The tart tatin was aweful. They used the wrong doe ( Mille feuile), perhaps store bought. For just two mains, a dessert and a bottle of wine over 210 chf. Pity. I keep trying but I will only go back under duress.
