The cost of the funicular is well worth it to gain access to the beautiful trails above. The restaurant has a lovely sun deck where you can relax and drink in the sun and the fantastic views before and after your activities.

so after travelling to spain, Italy, Germany and then to Switzerland. most travelers should know that apple to apple Switzerland will almost 40 percent more expensive than the other countries I mentioned (it will be the same if you compare a mcdonalds to McDonald or a café to café.Having said that.the restaurant is a small village restaurant with very good staff. the food is yum, fresh and served in a rustic style (the rosti came in a hot iron pan in which it was baked)should try a meal if you are there.

No better fondue anywhere in the world. Customers come all the way from Geneva and more often up from Sierre (a half hour drive). Some local Michelin starred chefs have acknowledged the exquisite mix that has delighted villagers and tourists for three decades, ever since the Zufferey family took over this bistrot and run it in the best convivial way. Warm atmosphere, welcome and even advice to choose amongst the few varieties of fondues. If you are in the region, it is worth the trip to this beautiful little hamlet and its 18th century homes and barns. A well kept secret.

Restaurant de la Poste is what I term, Good & Fine homecooking. The meat from hunting season was of good quality and with fine sauces and presentation. Very tasty. The meat for the steak was average quality. Accompanying sauces were average also and not so tasty. Wine by glass selection is very limited. Ambiance is average Swiss cafe type restaurant with a nice large terrace. Sun was not on the terrace for lunch, however, we enjoyed our coffee in the warm sun. Price for hunting menu 85.-chf was well worth it. 45.-chf for steak 200 gr. quantity enough but meat was a bit tough. Its located next to the road so the ambiance is half mountain, half road. I think the best they offer is the hunting menu for quality, price and excellent sauces.

**Temporarily Closed** Annual closure until June 14th. See you soon friends!
We stopped here after skiing in St Luc and Chandolin. The gite is at the end of the lovely long crusing red run from the summit that runs round the edge of the resort. The welcome was excellent and drinks service good. They even have a TV screen tracking the navette ski bus progress if you need to catch the ski bus link back to the village of St Luc or the funicular lift back up to the ski slopes. We will return for lunch on our next trip...

Our chef offers creative cuisine that showcases seasonal produce. As for the wine, it will allow you to see with delight that our region is full of treasures ...
We enjoyed a lunch in September at the Chez Ida restaurant which is part of the Grand Bella Tola hotel. We took the "Rehrücken" and it was gorgeous. This coupled with an excellent service and an incredibly atmosphere taking you back to the early 1900's. Highly recommended for a romantic stay! The only downside is the difficult mountain road to get there. It will take you at least 30' from Sierre and the road is extremely narrow. It's part of this unique experience.

Comfortably installed in our dining room, we let you discover a fine menu. Our cuisine is inventive and tasty. Our Chef created it according to the seasons. We propose you some beautiful pieces of dry-aged meat grilled in our large fireplace. La Desalpe p
The people are very nice and did their best to treat us with special attention. But my extremely expensive aged meat was one third gristle and slab of fat. The rest was ok but it was not what one expected. I took the larger one too as my husband insisted but it was really quite measly. The tart tatin was aweful. They used the wrong doe ( Mille feuile), perhaps store bought. For just two mains, a dessert and a bottle of wine over 210 chf. Pity. I keep trying but I will only go back under duress.
