As sunny as the French Riviera, Nendaz is perfect for a number of outdoor activities such as skiing (on 400 kilometers of slopes), winter and summer hiking, exploring the area's ancient waterways, or mountain biking. Located at the heart of the largest ski region in Switzerland, Nendaz has plenty of options for beginners and expert skiers alike, with its extraordinary itineraries and extremely varied ski runs.

We ended up visiting 3 times in one week with family and friends here at the Edelweiss restaurant because it was such delicious and quality food, presented beautifully and with 1st class customer service every time. The famous Le Fou burger is legendary and the brownie is the best in the Alps! Iâd recommend to anyone visiting with friends, families or even just a takeaway - we even tried this which was so easy and extremely tasty! Thank you Sarah and Filip for enhancing our holiday. See you next year!

We sat at a table (2 adults and 1 teenager) for all of 15 minutes in a nearly empty place. We were blatantly ignored. We got up and left, and they looked surprised!!!! Not sure what to make of the experience! Not impressed to say the leastHello,We are really surprised to read such a bad experience, this does not correspond to the behaviour we have in our establishment. We can assure you that we do everything we can to provide our customers the best service possible. There probably was a misunderstanding when you visited. Anyway, we want you to know that we are sorry and we present you our sincere apologize.

Although the staff is lovely and the steak dinner fantastic, we must have missed the brief on the famous raclette. We were told that you must have a reservation specifically for raclette if you want to eat it. A French friend, who had been turned away earlier in the week, said it was supposed to be one of the best so we went with high expectations. At the risk of sounding näive or uncultured, perhaps it's a cultural thing, but we were disappointed and shocked by the cost. Essentially, you are served puddles of melted raclette cheese on a dessert plate that you are expected to eat with boiled potatoes, small pickles and pearl onions, placed on the table, family style. That's it. Cheese, potatoes and two jarred condiments. The plates keep being refilled until you indicate that you've had enough, which we discovered when a fourth round was offered. That's it, the whole thing. We left, all 9 of us (one had steak, the rest, cheese palooza) with a $450 check, hungry and wondering what we did wrong. In fairness, we had a magnum and additional bottle of wine and three bottles of water on the check as well. We still don't know if the raclette is supposed to be a starter and you are expected to order something else for dinner or if folks really just eat multiple plates of melted cheese, potatoes and condiments. We suspect that it is a celebrated tradition that we will chalk up as an experience but since we prefer the annual raclette experience that we have in German Christmas markets, we don't feel like we need to do or pay Swiss prices for that again there. Of course we recognize that dining out in Switzerland is costly but this meal in particular felt shockingly expensive for what we ate. Perceived value of raclette "dinner" was not good however, the fabulous steak dinner seemed much more reasonable.

Impeccable service. Located right on Telecabine, a short way above the traffic circle which is in the middle of town. We both had the fabulous salmon! This restaurant was very, very good! The recommended wine (Vervant) was very good, the red and white. They served a small chocolate mousse after dinner with our coffee.

We were lucky to get at table outside as this place is clearly popular with regular locals and tourists walking the bisses. Conveniently situation at the cross roads of Bisse de Vex, Bisse Vieux and Bisse de Milieu it's a great place to stop for lunch. The staff have a lovely relaxed warmth and friendliness. The food was lovely - just what was needed after a long walk to build up an appetite. It's reasonably priced. Having tried this one and the one just further up the road I'd choose this one every time. If you're walking from Veysonnaz on the Bisse de Vex when you get to the sign saying "restaurant 10 minutes" - just go straight ahead up the steep hill and you'll find this restaurant.

This could be the revival of the lovely village of Saclentse. It is ideally situated and has a super couple as hosts. Not only do they do local food they do Brazilian specialities. They have an outside are that is grassy and floral and in indoor pétanque area. Plenty of parking.

La Taverne de lâAlpee is an excellent place for a good lunch. Although the menu might not seem to be very exciting the dishes are of good quality (with particularly the omelettes and croutes among my favourites). So why not the highest rating? The prices are relatively high, the service was extraordinarily slow and the dishes were very good ... but just not exceptional.

The food is absolutely great! The meat is perfectly cooked and savoury, full of spices and herbs. Desserts are good too. The staff is very kind and the concept "comme à la maison" is very nice as all the dishes come to your table and you help yourself at your own pace. The starters were a bit disappointing.
